Description

University students: The text said that the location of the gallery is on the main campus, so students who study design or art may seek for inspiration for their works or appreciate these artworks. Furthermore,

some students will go there to relax themselves from study. Local residents in the community nearby: because the campus is near the community of Kelburn, and open most of the year, old people who are retired may go to the gallery and talk with friends. Moreover, children may

be attracted from some interesting artworks. People interested in other related areas, such as media studies, film and the environment: they may be tourists attracted by the unique architectural structure of the gallery—build in a void among a number of buildings and gain satisfaction of their interests from the artworks.

Target strategies  Differentiated: targets different market segments with specific designed, especially to meet those segment’s needs. E.g. Universal magazines— they are divided to various life aspects such as DOGS LIFE and Trailrider, which corresponding to different readers in terms of their interest and needs.(Marketing, 2016) 

Undifferentiated: it focuses on an entire target market rather than a

segment of it. E.g. sugar or salt—necessary goods in life Concentrated: allows marketers to target a single market segment with a single marketing mix. E.g. a campaign agency targets only one industry, such as the dental industry and dentists. ( Marketingbinder, 2014)

Micromarketing: focuses on a small group of highly targeted consumers. E.g.Procter&Gamble—its special market advertisement on Pantene Relaxed & Natural shampoo and conditioner is focusing on American and African women.(INVESTOPEDIA)

I recommend to target on both on university students and local residents because they are the most potential visitors to the gallery It is better to implement differentiated strategy ,division of artworks in terms of time( modern or old) to attract different ages for their own needs such as interest inspiration and entertainment....
