The term American Dream was coined in 1931 by James Truslow Adams – but people believed in this concept much earlier In#general,#it#can#be#said#that#in#the#United#States,#the#people#are#defined#by#a#set#of#ethos#and#ideals# commonly#referred#to#as#the#American#dream.#It#is#set#on#the#basic#argument#that#every#American# citizen#regardless#of#where#they#were#born#can#become#successful#through#taking#risks#and#hard# work#and#not#by#chance.# #Through#the#declaration#of#independence#in#the#US,#the#American#dream#is#protected.#It#is#protected# using#the#quote,#“We#hold#these#truths#to#be#self-evident,#that#all#men#are#created#equal,#that#they# are#endowed#by#their#Creator#with#certain#unalienable#Rights,#that#among#these#are#Life,#Liberty#and# the#pursuit#of#Happiness”.#As#such,#the#American#dream#grew#out#of#specific#aspects#of#the#American# history.# The#history#of#the#American#Dream#can#be#traced#back#to#16-17th#century,#when#the#puritans#came# to#the#so#called#New#World,#America.#Colonial#America#was#a#place#of#opportunities#These#new# economic#opportunities#were#a#very#effective#way#of#promoting#colonization.Back#in#England,#the# lower#class#had#little#or#no#chance#of#moving#up#the#class#ladder,#but#in#America#you#had#all#this#jobs# that#needed#to#be#done.#Wealthy#businessmen#also#attained#opportunities#to#invest#their#money.# It#was#said#to#be#a#place#to#accomplish#you#dreams#and#better#your#future.#For#the#most#part#Colonial# America#seemed#like#a#chance#to#escape#religious#persecution#and#achieve#religious#freedom.# Religious#motives#for#migrating#were#caused#by#the#Protestant#Reformation.#The#Reformation#gave# rise#to#Protestant#denominations#that#no#longer#wanted#to#be#part#of#the#Anglican#Church.#These# people#looked#for#These#people#looked#for#a#greater#amplitude#of#freedom#in#America,#where#they# would#be#far#away#from#England.# It#is#clear#that#the#settlers#didn't#describe#their#belief#as#a#"dream",#but#still#talked#about#an#ideal# nation#that#gives#all#the#people#with#equal#opportunities#to#become#successful#through#using#their# greatest#efforts.# As#time#moved#forward,#this#„Belief“#slowly#changed#inside#the#minds#of#North#American#people.# During#the#American#Revolution,#the#Founding#Fathers#of#America#believed#that#the#American#Dream# should#be#described#as#a#natural#right#that#everyone#should#have#and#created#the#Declaration#of# Independence#in#1776.# Before#early#1900s,#the#American#Dream#also#widely#used#to#describe#the#promotion#of#people's# social#classes#and#the#idea#of#becoming#wealthy.# The#term#„American#Dream“#was#coined#by#writer#and#historian#James#Truslow#Adams#in#his#bestselling#1931#book#"Epic#of#America."#He#described#it#as#"that#dream#of#a#land#in#which#life#should#be# better#and#richer#and#fuller#for#everyone,#with#opportunity#for#each#according#to#ability#or# achievement."# Adams#went#on#to#explain,#"It#is#a#difficult#dream#for#the#European#upper#classes#to#interpret# adequately,#and#too#many#of#us#ourselves#have#grown#weary#and#mistrustful#of#it.But#a#dream#of# social#order#in#which#each#human#shall#be#able#to#attain#to#the#fullest#of#which#they#are#capable,#and# be#recognized#for#what#they#are,#regardless#of#th#circumstances#of#birth#or#position."# But#the#question#is#what#would#be#if#all#that#including#the#declaration#of#independance#?# Without#the#Declaration,#there#would#have#not#been#a#justification#for##the#settlers#known#as# „americans“#to#break#off#of#Britain#and#become#their#own#People.#

Continueing##would#be#no#United#States.#The#problems#facing#the#new#nation#(Amerika)#under#the# Articles#of#Confederation#were#both#numerous#and#serious.#The#lack#of#national#government,#the# absence#of#a#single#authority#over#economic#foreign#commerce,#and#the#failure#to#include#any# provisions#for#generating#money,#would#have#doomed#the#new#nation.#Mpst#importantely#the#bill#of# rights,#basic#human#rights,#especially#freedom,#would've#been#changed#or#possibly#not#exist#till#this# day.## That#shows#the#Importance#oft#he#Development#oft#he#American#Dream.# Colonists/Americans/Settlers#turned#their#hope#into#reality.# #...
