Adam Foss – what is he doing now? Adam John Foss is an american prosecutor, business innovator, civil and political rights advocate, and a former assistant district attorney in the Juvenile Division of the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office (SCDAO) in Boston. Foss was a paralegal in the Boston area for many years. He worked for Fitzhugh & Meriani LLP and also for Law Offices of Rosemary Scapicchio. During his nine years as a prosecutor, Mr. Foss collaborated with the courts and the community to develop programs which continue to have a positive impact on distressed neighbourhoods in the Boston area. In 2013, the Massachusetts Bar Association voted him Prosecutor of the Year. In 2015, Foss was voted one of the country’s “40 Most Up-and-Coming Lawyers” by the National Law Journal. The Root named him one of the “100 Most Influential Black Americans of 2016.” In 2017, Fast Company named him one of the “Most Creative People in Business”. In 2019 Adam Foss visited Catholic Memorial School and spoke to eleventh and twelfth grade students about the correlation between race and mass incarceration in America. In November 2020, District Attorney Rachael Rollins has opened an independent investigation on Adam Foss, a former prosecutor and an oft–cited advocate for criminal justice reform, after a woman said he raped her in 2017. She said she has volunteered with Foss in the past and has considered him a friend. The DA said she learned about the allegations against Foss from a blog post published by Raegan Sealey, a writer and singer who said she met Foss at a conference. Foss is known for his 2016 TED Talk on criminal justice reform, which has close to 3 million views between YouTube and TED’s website. However, a new independent investigation was launched later. Adam Foss didn’t engage in criminal conduct while he worked in Boston. That's the conclusion of an investigation into allegations from women that Foss acted inappropriately and abused his authority while he was an assistant district attorney in Suffolk County from 2008 to 2016. Today Adam Foss continues to work as a lawyer. He also blogs on Instagram. He expresses his position on Twitter and other social networks. In both his professional and personal capacities, Foss volunteers much of his time to his community. By the way Adam Foss recently appeared in the CNN documentary American Jail.
