Working Thesis: Martin Luther King’s I have a dream speech describes to be one of the most popular speeches of American rhetoric. The writing were truly influenced in the timeframe were it was created. This speech will study about one of the most decisive battles of the Civil War as well as the battles as African American against the police brutality.

Research Questions:

RQ1: How does Martin Luther King affect the Black Lives Matter movement today?

RQ2: What is Martin Luther King’s view of slavery and Civil Right back in the days?

RQ3: What kind of consequences and effects did the police brutality have on Martin Luther King and the Black Lives Matter movement? RQ4: How did the American Civil War look like back in the days?

RQ5: What kind of impact did Martin Luther King have on the nation?

This article written by Peter Gaal-Szabo talks about the Civil Right Movement a long with how Martin Luther King and other famous religious leaders saw and affected the world. This article covers mostly the civil right but also about the slavery and Luther King points of view. This source is very useful since this article is relatively new and has the right information to answer my research question. Moreover, it answers my research question about “What is Martin Luther King’s view of slavery and Civil Right back in the days?”. Unfortunately, there are parts in this article that not will answer my research question. However, the parts that talks about civil right, Martin Luther King, and slavery will be very useful for my arguments and the process for answering the research question. To begin with, I will be using this source a lot to focus on the civil right, slavery, and how Martin Luther King saw these problems. The article has not changed my thesis or approach but has only given me more and deeper information about the topic.

This article is reliable and credible since its uploaded 2019 and compare the black people from back in the days with today and its definitely current for my topic. This article answers my research question about “How does Martin Luther King affect the Black Lives Matter movement today?”. With that being said, I will be able to argue about how impactful Martin Luther King was during his time, and also do comparisons from back in the days with today. This article will be used a lot in my research since my focus is on Martin Luther King and the Black Lives Matter movement.

Furthermore, the information that can be found in this article is related to my topic and research question, which means that the information is current. The author has focused on the topic police brutality on connects it to Martin Luther King and the Black Lives Matter movement, and it answers my research question about “What kind of consequences and effects did police brutality have on Martin Luther King and the Black Lives Matter movement?”. This source will be very helpful in order to form my arguments and talk about a special topic where we can talk a lot about. With that being said, this source will be used a lot during this research paper.

The author gives us a perspective on how inferior the African American were by showing us statistics on how many people died by a police officer in 2017. This article was uploaded 2020, which makes this article very current for my topic but also

relatable for my research question. With help of connecting these police brutalities, we can find connections with Martin Luther King and with the Black Lives Matter movement today, and helps us to answer my research question named “What kind of consequences and effects did the police brutality have on Martin Luther King and the Black Lives Matter movement?”. This article will also be used a lot during my research paper, since my topic talks about Martin Luther King and his impact on Black Lives Matter movement, which will create strong arguments. Moreover, this article has given me more information and a deeper understanding about the police brutality and their affection on Black Lives Matter and Martin Luther King.

With that being said, the information found in this article is current for my topic and will be very useful to argue with. This article answers my research questions about “How did the American Civil War look like back in the days?” and “What kind of impact did Martin Luther King have on the nation?”. Arguments will be easy to form with heavy evidence from this article since in focus to answer my research question. There are a lot of parts in this article that will be useful, since the article focuses on how Martin Luther King changed the world and the American Civil War.

This source is talking about the relationship between the Afro-American Unity and the African Diaspora back in the days with a connection to the Black Lives Matter movement from today. Yeboah’s article really gives us a perspective on how inferior the black people were back in the days with help of Martin Luther King. The author Yeboah have done two different interviews with a professor from the University of Ghana, and a president of the African American Association of Ghana which makes this article credible and usable for my research. This article answers my research question about “How does Martin Luther King affect the Black Lives Matters today?”. There are many parts in this article that will strengthen my arguments and answer my research question, especially when we can compare the Black Lives Matter movement with Martin Luther King’s period. This source has given me a bigger perspective and deeper understanding about how the black people were treated back in the days, and how we still today can see these types of problems with the Black Lives Matter movement....
