1. Every soul is worth equal in the eye of god. 2. Jesus Christ atoned for sins of all men so that all men could repent and be with god in the afterlife. 3. Atonement has universal, infinite, and unconditional consequences for all mankind throughout the duration of all eternity. 4. This infinite Atonement of Christ-and of Christ only-was possible because he was the only sinless man ever to live on this earth and therefore was not subject to the spiritual death that comes as a result of sin. 5. Latter-day Saints stress that neither the unconditional nor the conditional blessings of the Atonement would be available to mankind except through the grace and goodness of Christ. 6. Jesus Christ is the only one who has the power to lay down his life and take it up again. From his mortal mother, Mary, he inherited the ability to die. From his immortal father, He inherited the power to overcome death. 7. Jesus Christ suffered so that nobody else would have to suffer. 8. Through the Atonement, Jesus Christ redeemed all people from the effects of the Fall. 9. Aspects of Jesus Christ's gift are conditional upon obedience and diligence in keeping God's commandments. 10. We must exercise faith in Jesus Christ, repent, be baptized for the remission of sins, and repent as we are accountable to our own sins.
