Description

I definitely feel as though I am an exceptional leader and think having a democratic/participative style of leadership has gotten me to where I am. Being highly motivated, trustworthy, and great at accounting has also helped. Currently I am an account manager, which is a position where you cannot lose your motivation. My fellow employees have a lot of faith and trust in me to guide them with customer service problems. I can tell that I am good at my job by listening and watch them succeed in theirs. However, I am not perfect and could need to work on my public speaking as well as positivity, I tend to be a glass half empty type of person. Being a good leader will get you good followers. I really try to listen to my co-worker’s opinions and ideas as I think it makes me a better manager. I think everyone needs to have good leading and following skills. Because to be honest unless you completely own your own company then you are always following someone. My employee’s trust me to come talk if they have a problem or if they have a new idea for this business. I think this may be one of my strongest leadership skills. Having a democratic/participative leadership style encourages the participation of followers in decision making and encourages leaders to work with followers to determine what actions an organization should take. My employees are with customers face to face and hear firsthand the problems and or achievements of the company. I hold their opinions very valuable and use it to shape my leadership style....
