Can someone explain the consistency and commitment principle and its relation to the example about Ferbie? Has to also do with scarcity -- you promised your kid that you would get them a furby for christmas, but the stores sell out (because the company knowingly didn’t make enough). However, because you want to keep your word and seem consistent to your kid, you go buy them one when they’re restocked in January
