Description

James I is the first Catholic king of the Stuart dynasty. he had three children: Charles who had sympathy for Catholicism, Mary and Anne who were Protestants instead. the English Parliament was worried because Charles was a risk because Catholicism could be introduced again. to avoid this, Parliament decided to allow the entry of William of Orange, a Protestant king and part of the Stuart dynasty as Mary's husband. James had to leave the country in such a way as to leave the crown of England to William of Orange. There will be a peaceful confrontation with James called the glorious revolution or bloodless revolution. William in 1689 signs the Bill of Rights. the British colonies in America are demanding independence as they had no government representatives and no longer wanted to pay. the colonies open new trade routes (riches, gold, diamonds). the raw material was taken from the colonies and then the finished product was processed in English factories. once the product was made, it was sold in Britain and the colonies. slaves were exploited in heavy jobs and the crops that were cultivated were: corn, cocoa, maize, cotton and tobacco. Boston tea party: it is a protest by the Americans against the English because they decide to throw the English tea in the sea. the Americans leave the English without the tea that was produced inside the colonies...
