This portfolio illustrates my professional and collegiate development and expands upon my maturation as a nurse while pursuing my BSN degree at Western Governor's University. It encompasses best practice teachings and activities, demonstrations of genuine analysis, and substantiation of how I attained my professional objective of advancing into a bachelor's cultivated nurse.

Mission Statement I believe that each patient deserves and should receive the highest quality nursing care that I can provide. Therefore, achieving excellent patient outcomes by applying my educational experiences and critical thinking and decision-making skills with every situation I encounter. My philosophy focuses on quality patient care and individualized care for each patient delivered with compassion and respect. I believe that each day will present a new and rewarding experience. I will learn something new each day, hoping to pass my knowledge to as many people as possible. Nursing is not just about the illness but also about understanding every individual on an emotional and physical level. Nursing uses evidence-based practices combined with holistic approaches that lead to a common goal of healing each living being. I devote myself to treat every person I encounter with the concept of patient-centered care and attend to their needs as if they were family, and in the same manner, I desire to have care administered. I will be a patient advocate at all times and will represent myself as a valued member of any healthcare team. My commitment is that each individual receives the best quality care available on their way to be the best possible outcome physically and mentally. Presently I am a Travel Nurse taking time off to pursue my BSN degree. My Mission Statement will help me through this journey as a lifelong learner and enable me to push through and begin the MSN program for education. The MSN degree will allow me to pass along my experiences and educate others in nursing.
