Instructions: Read the provisions of the Kartilya ng Katipunan and through it, visualize the dynamics of the Katipunan as an organization. Considering the present circumstances in the modern world, do you think the provisions of the Kartilya ng Katipunan will help address some of the problems of Philippine society? Cite examples and defend your answer. Emilio Jacinto, who is he? A question that the readers keep pondering. Reading the book "The Light of Liberty" by Richardson, we have come to know Emilio Jacinto, who significantly contributed to the K.K.K. and the author of the Kartilya. The Kartilya that he made was a reform for the Katipunan. Although Jacinto made the Kartilya, Andres Bonifacio als made his own. Andres Bonifacio, who is the supremo of the Katipunan made the Decalogue.

The Decalogue was intended to be given to the recruits. However, after reading the Kartilya of Jacinto, Bonifacio deemed that the work of Emilio was superior to his. Nevertheless, the two texts have different approaches. The Decalogue talks about obligations, while the Kartilya is about "guiding principles" and teachings. It may have seemed that the Katipunan wholeheartedly absorbed the Kartilya for the reason that it is more talked about rather than the Decalogue. The Kartilya serves as a guidebook for new Katipunan's, telling them how they should act morally correct and abide by the principles their organization follows. The Kartilya consists of 12 guiding principles and fourteen teachings. The statement wherein Kartilya said that "Within the Katipunan, all are equal and true brethren."This statement is powerful owing to the fact that the Katipunan view themselves as equal. Superiority and inferiority are not tolerated within the organization. . If we view modern politics, superiority within the establishments is rampant. The government in the Philippines views itself as someone who can rule over those with a lower position within the state and those who do not hold any position.

Kartilya ng Katipunan, we believe, may play a significant role in modern society since it teaches us how to combat our character formation. It aims to promote peace and unity in the

Filipino people's hearts and minds since by keeping those teachings in mind, we can avoid conflict in our nation. Kartilya preaches that everyone should be seen and treated equally, regardless of whether they are poor, rich, uneducated, wise, dark, or pale. It can address the problems of the Philippines, such as the issue of racism, if only all Filipinos were treated equally; that color or differences of everyone doesn't define a person's character. It does not change the fact that we are all the same human beings. In the cases about women who experience assaults and rape cases, if only people think of women as a helpmate than as their mere plaything and treat women like their mother who raised them well, then there would be no mistreated women. Discrimination and oppression of the poor are current challenges in our country; if only all Filipinos stood up for the oppressed and fought the oppressor, we might be unified and show genuine compassion for others. Last but not least, the Covid-19 outbreak might have been handled sooner or later if only individuals, particularly in government, had real charity and compassion for others to help rather than abusing their position. We believe that reading and understanding the concepts and teachings in Kartilya ng Katipunan can provide solutions to modern society's problems if these things are emphasized.

Instructions: Give three reasons why the Kartilya ng Katipunan is important to the grand narrative of Philippine history 1. The Kartilya and the Katipunan are vital to Philippine history's grand narrative because it sets some principles of how a katipunero should act and promote. First, It shows how you should respect and value a woman like real men with manners and knowledge. Second, It fills in as the moral and intellectual establishment used to direct the activities of katipuneros. Third, for mind molding and conduct setting that Change happens in the hearts and brains of men first. Fourth and last is the Need to characterize politically and philosophically ultimate objectives.

2. The Kartilya ng Katipunan is vital to the grand narrative of Philippine history because The Kartilya ng Katipunan was an honorable establishment manual for the Katipuneros. It teaches about the standards and rules that they need to consider essential for a progressive society. The Kartilya ng Katipunan shows self-reflection and virtues that every Katipunero must embody. Filipinos back then were intellectual revolutionists and had a sense of morality in battling against all odds and good service. Without their existence, we cannot inherit the braveness, grit, and courage of being a true Filipino. In Kartilya ng Katipunan, its relevance is to shape the Filipinos' personalities, minds, and hearts to adore their nation and assess themselves. It fuses the virtue, morality, loyalty, and disciplines that we, the modern Filipinos, represent today. It teaches us to have genuine kindness and whole-heartedly help hands without expecting something in return. We can see in the record that it is brimming with values, but also it touches the self-reflection of anyone who reads it.

3. One of the most significant contributions of the Kartilya ng Katipunan to the narrative of Philippine history is that it tells how Filipinos banded together to unify the nation to oppose the Spaniards. It demonstrated that Filipinos are unified and continue to fight colonizers for the liberation of our country, despite the great consequence. Reading Emilio Jacinto's Kartilya ng Katipunan gave us an understanding of how the Katipunan came to be and how they intended to fight for our beloved country, the Philippines. We realized once again that future leaders ought to be full of compassion, respect, and sympathy based on the laws, values, and teachings that we can find in the Kartilya ng Katipunan.

The Kartilya ng Katipunan is also significant since it has influenced nationalistic beliefs. It invites us to participate in the change to revive the dormant sense of nationalism among us, not just in terms of independence but in any situation. It evolved into an ideology that embodies the ideals and behaviors that every citizen should contemplate to improve our society. It has the potential to become the cornerstone of Filipinos' excellent and good way of thinking in general....
