Create a lesson plan based upon a teaching or experience in the Savior’s mortal ministry. You can locate a list of these moments in the Bible Dictionary entry “Gospels, Harmony of.” Choose one of the experiences in section III. The Ministry of the Messiah (A. B. C. D. or E). Build a teaching outline for this paper and then find someone to teach and share the learning experience with. It should take around 10 to 15 minutes. Title: The Father and the Son Choose (5 min) Scripture Source (NT): John 5 : 17-47 Study (1 hour) diligently the original scripture source and related gospel doctrines and principles. Write objectives  (5 min) for this learning experience based upon what impressed you in your diligent study. Objective #1. After this experience, it is my hope that this person will understand:  The relationship between the Father and the Son. Objective #2. After this experience, it is my hope that this person will understand:  How to treat the Father and the Son. Objective #3. After this experience, it is my hope that this person will understand:  The roles of both the Father and the son. Create and organize  (1 hour) meaningful learning activities for each of the objectives written above. Outline and describe the learning activities you hope to share with someone. Be sure to include questions to discuss. Remember if it is a question you would like answered it might be one they find worth discussing as well. Create and organize learning activities for objective #1. 1. Ask the question "What is the relationship between the Father and the Son?" 2. Read through 18-21 3. Why is it so important to understand this relationship? Create and organize learning activities for objective #2. 1. Read through 23-24 2. Read 39-42 3. In what way would our understanding of the Father and the son change the way we act is we were coming from another Christian Church? Create and organize learning activities for objective #3. 1. Read through 22 2. Read through 26 3. What do these scriptures show about the roles and relationship between the Father and the Son.

I just did this on the spot, and I dont really remember what I had to say, but I just talked about how an understanding of these things help me have confidence in my Church and the relationship that I have with our Heavenly Father. Report (5 min): Describe in a paragraph who you taught, when you taught, where you taught, what the learning experience was like, what you learned from this experience and how you feel you could improve. I taught my brother. He was really good about me teaching him. I decided to print out the scriptures and have him highlight any things that he found important (which probably wasn't necessary). I think that we had a really good discussion on the topic of the relationship of the Father and the Son. I really liked going over this topic, but I feel like we didn't take enough time to have this discussion so it felt like it was left open ended. I think that this would be a really good topic for me to go over again....
