DNA from a kiwi fruit...

Description

How to extract DNA from a kiwi fruit Hypothesis: I think that if the method is followed properly then DNA should be extracted and I think you should be able to see the DNA and pick the jelly up. Aim: To achieve the DNA of a kiwi fruit Diagram:

Method 1) Peel the kiwi fruit and chop it into small chunks 2) Put the chunks in the plastic dish and mash the kiwi as much as you can 3) Add the salt to the water into a container and swirl to dissolve then add the washing up liquid to the same container and mix gently 4) Add the extraction buffer to the mashed up kiwi in the plastic dish and mash 5) Place the kiwi and buffer mixture at 60degrees centigrade for 15 minutes in an incubator shake every few minutes. 6) Remove the container from the incubator and filter the kiwi mixture through a filter paper into a clean container until you have about 10mloflquid in the tube. 7) Take the ice cold alcohol and pour it slowly down the side of the tube 8) Where the layer of ice cold alcohol meets the kiwi mixture underneath you will see a white jelly like substance forming 9) Then hook the DNA out with a paperclip or other.

Result Following the steps of the experiment I got to the end where I was able to hook out the DNA (jelly like substance) looking at the DNA I saw it looked like

Conclusion The conclusion of my experiment is the fact that I achieved my aim of hooking out the DNA and when I saw the DNA it was all

Evaluation There is many types of conclusion towards this fact and there is a lot of types of residue towards the inside of the container of the jelly like substance of DNA....
