!2 Leader Assessment: MLQ because it helps to create an inspiring vision that involves in motivating people. By motivation and engaging everyone who is involved, a transformational leader can manage to align the organization’s vision and individuals’’ goals. The leader would set goals and performance to manage change effectively. A Birasnav(2014) discusses that the leaders are the key to improving performance. Therefore, positive interpersonal relational and communication along with transforming different factors are what determines a leader (Birasnav, 2014). In this essay, I will provide and examine the results of my personal assessment of Multi- factor leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) form 6S. Multi- factor leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) form 6S is a questionnaire that illustrated a description of my personal leadership style through the frequency of twenty-one descriptive statements. It basically measures my leadership based on seven factors that are related to transformational leadership. After calculating the sum of responses for all seven factors, my leadership style as follows: The first factor, idealize influence which is measured by having a transformational leader who acts in a certain way which results in being the role models for the individuals around him. For this factor, my score is 10. The second factor is the inspirational motivation which indicates to the level of inspiration that leader would have. This is considered if the leader will push the people around him forward to catch their vision and leave their comfort zone. For this factor, my score is 10. The third factor, Intellectual stimulation. This factor discusses the way that the leader challenges others to move beyond the normal and be creative in the way of thinking. As a leader, I would nurture people to think outside the box. For this factor, my score is 6. The fourth factor, the Individualized

!3 Leader Assessment: MLQ consideration which shows the level of attention that a leader provides to mentor the different needs of the individual around him especially if they have different abilities. For this factor, my score is 9. The fifth factor is the contingent reward. It indicates if the leader is verbal when it comes to recognizing the accomplishments and attempting to achieve positive internal rewarding to the individuals. For this factor, my score is 10. The sixth factor is management of expectation which helps to assess whether the leader closely follows the job requirements and outcomes of his followers. My score for this factor is 7. The seventh factor is Laissez Faire, it means that the leader gives his followers more independence and allow them to make the!decisions. My score for this factor is 8.

The Multi-factor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) consists of factors that

reflect the leadership aspects associated with me. This kind of questionnaire is effective because it helps to think about what kind of a leader I’m or what kind of a leader others sees me. The results range of high factors of; idealize influence; inspirational motivation; individualized consideration; contingent reward. Other factors range in moderation as Intellectual stimulation; management of expectation; laissez Faire. These ranges are advantages that enhance the leader abilities by focusing on the strength and make the best of them and at the same time trying to use the weaker traits to improve himself and balance the interest of his followers. It gives the leader a broad set of perspectives from the people who interact with. This is important since transformational leadership is an approach to leading that focuses on motivation, performance!and how the behaviors are being perceived. With this, my strategy as a leader can be developed based on the factor results and determinations of my leadership abilities. It also provides a vision that transforms the

!4 Leader Assessment: MLQ organization through role-modeling and inspiring behaviors. The vision of a strategy for its achievement. By being transformational leadership, my goal would be to engage and motivate people around me in the organization to identify the organization ‘s goals and values. The aligning of the goals and values gives a sense of commitment that the leader would be able to create in the organization’s culture and climate. This highlights the importance of motivation shows the degree of involvement that individuals can offer to enhance their sense of citizenship to the organization.
