2. What did you do? - Describe activity completely including location, date, people met, content, etc.

Location: Exchange via Zoom Date: 2-3-2021 People met: Sindy Canizales Walters Content: During this zoom, I learned about the benefits of Northwestern Mutual as a company. Not only did I learn about NWM as a company, I learned about the Professional Selling Program. I was unaware of this program prior to this zoom. It was very interesting to listen to Sindy talk about her life and the journey that she has taken to get to the position she holds today. One of the last things that I learned about during this exchange was the Financial Represenative Internship offered by NWM.

3. How does this activity benefit your career development or career search?

This exchange helped my career development in many ways. Following the zoom, I began to research the internship offered through Northwestern Mutual. I believe that this internship is a good fit for me. I reached out to the recruiter to inquire on what I need to do in order to put myself at an advantage. This zoom also benefited my career search because I was able to learn about the Professional Selling program. I researched this program, and I feel that it would be beneficial to have this program on my resume. I am planning on meeting with a career coach to determine if I should delay my graduation by enrolling in this program. Overall, this exchange helped open my eyes to career options and career development programs that I was unaware of at the time.
