Description

Erickson’s Developmental Stage Related to pt. & Cite References (1) According to Erikson’s Developmental Stage theory, the Pt relates to stage 6 – Young Adulthood (19 to 40 years). Young adults need to form intimate, loving relationships with other people. Success leads to strong relationships, while failure results in loneliness and isolation. This stage covers the period of early adulthood when people are exploring personal relationships. each step builds on skills learned in previous steps. Erikson believed that a strong sense of personal identity was important for developing intimate relationships. Since the Pt is a single mother with 2 children living with her parents indicates that she is not been able to form a intimate, loving relationship which can lead to isolation (Cherry, 2020).
