Answer – Maria Sharapova was banned from tennis for almost 15 months as a consequence of her failing a drug test in 2016. She says that for the past 10 years She was taking a medicine named ‘ Meldronot ‘ , because of her Health issues. She says she got to know that Meldronot had a substance called ‘ Meldonium ‘, which was banned by the WADA according to the new list of beanned substances they published on the 22nd of December 2016. She says she received an email regarding the updated list of banned substances by WADA but didn’t check it. 2.

How do you think the problem could have been prevented, including what specific recommendations might you have for a leader addressing this problem (no less than 6 complete sentences)?

Answer - Maria Sharapova wouldn’t have had to face what she faced if she simply checked the email from WADA . She herself must know how important of a ‘ Sport Figure ‘ she is and that billions of people around the world follow her. She obviously muust have thought the email from WADA had the same substances and had the same information she has been receiving for years. But making sure to check it is her responsibility as we never know what has changed and what hasn’t . According to me, She addressed the problem really well in the press conference where she revealed that she had failed a drug test . But I really think that the situation would have been easier for her to face if she presented some proof of her taking Meldonium for medical purposes ....
