INTRODUCTION ATTENTION I.

When I say the phrase apples to oranges, what do you guys think? You guys normally think that I’m talking about something that doesn’t really compare or you can’t really compare with each other. That’s what I think we should be looking at the gender equality issues. We should be looking at something that we can’t really compare them to closely together because they’re too different.

II.

Gender equality is achieved when men and women enjoy the same rights and opportunity across all sector of society.

III.

Women have fought for gender equality and women right for a century. They tried to achieve what men’s have to do and what men’s do. They want the same jobs, treatment and opportunities that men have at their hands, but there is always a reason for such things.

(Transition: I would like share with you guys why is it important to accept men and women as equal in every aspects of life)

BODY NEED I.

The problems of discrimination and prejudice against women are still taking place around the globe. A. The problem of gender equality is gender inequality. 1. Gender inequality doesn’t make sense on any level. By marginalizing the rights of women, we denied ourselves the opportunity to lift millions of men and women out of poverty. Not to mention the chance of a justice and fair world. a. From the birth, girls and boys, women and men are expected by society to play certain roles and behave in certain ways based on the traditions, religion and other beliefs. These behaviours are learned and shaped the gender norms in society. 2. There is a major gender gap on this issue, according to a research analysis by a Pew Researcher Center. a. Approximately half (46 per cent) of men say that men and women are handled fairly by society in general, while only 34 per cent of women agree. Around half (53%) of women believe that culture favours males over females, compared to 36% of men who say the same. B. Gender inequality leads to violence against women and girls. 1.

Not everyone experiences inequality the same way. The situation is worse, and sometimes different, for people facing more than one form of discrimination. a. As per the World Economic Forum’s gender gap ranking, India stands at rank 108 out of 149 countries in 2018. But, then India has slipped four places on the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap index to 112. This rank is a major concern as it highlights the enormous disparity in women's opportunities relative to males.

C. Gender equality improves life satisfaction for men and women.

1.

In this world, finding a career is much harder for women than it is for men. Women prefer to work in low-quality jobs in vulnerable circumstances when they are working, and little change is expected shortly. a. Due to the gender equality, movement improvements have included the right for women to become employed.

(Transition: I’m sure that you can see the important of gender equality. But all of you might be asking how to achieve gender equality, right? Let me tell you.) SATISFACTION II.

To achieve the objectives of gender equality, we need a dual strategy that would encourage equitable distribution of care at the family level and standard of care services. A. People support and practise equal sharing of care work. 1.

According to the Carlien Scheele, EIGE’s Director, the benefits of dividing care work more evenly are clear. Countries with a more equal sharing of unpaid care between women and men, tend to have higher employment rates for women and lower gender gaps in earnings. a. We need reforms at the household level, such that equal sharing of care responsibilities between women and men becomes the norm. b. It will presumably lead to greater satisfaction to live in a more equal society where one has the capacity to select the conditions of one's life.

B. Equal right and opportunities. 1.

I found that it always must be synonymous with man-hating to campaign for women's rights. If there's one thing I know for sure, it's something that must end. a. We should agree that there should be equal rights and opportunities for men and women. It is the principle of gender equality in political, economic and social terms.

(Transition: We already talk about have to achieve gender equality, and now let’s take a look at what is benefit from gender equality.) VISUALIZATION

III.

Gender equality benefit both women and men in every aspect of life. A. Gender equality can save life. 1. Unfortunately, in many countries, gender norms create disadvantages for women. Women and girls face life-threatening threats because of their lack of empowerment and opportunities in many countries. a. Though we are enjoying our live without mental and physical interference, we have never thought of women and children in Gaza who struggling for their right without knowing what will happen on that day. b. Therefore, equality between the sexes avoids abuse against women and children. For economic growth, it's important. Societies that value women and men as equal are safer and healthier. B. The problem arises when people don't take serious about this matter. 1. When many people don’t take serious about gender inequality, then there are no opportunities for women to get treated the same as men.

(Transition: By now, you should already know why it is important to accept men and women as equals in every aspects of life.)

CONCLUSION ACTION I.

The most important aspect is scoring high on gender equality for the overall wellbeing and development of a country. There has been a lot of change in countries with less inequality in gender equality.

II.

Everyone deserves an equal chance at every opportunity. This chance shouldn’t be taken away just because you happen to be a girl. As human beings, we should not get so hung up on our differences.

III.

Nevertheless, we need more understanding of the distribution of information about women's rights. Besides, to check the right and proper implementation of policies, the government should take initiatives.
