1. Purpose This document specifies the objectives and the team that are associated with the Six Sigma project Canucks Insurance Company 2. Charter Project title Argon Specific Error Reduction Project Project sponsor Rick Meyers, Vice President of Eastern region of CIC Project champion Linda McArther, Director of Corporate accounts Project team members (s) Akshay Desai, Six Sigma Green Belt Stephanie Roy, Financial analysist Emily Kirkland, Subject matter experts Ronnie Beaver, Subject matter experts Project problem statement Group Benefits(GB) Plan Setup Team of Canucks Insurance Company(CIC) is suffering from high volume of errors due to ARGON coding/data entry. For example, during April-June 2018 time period, the company suffered an ARGON error rate of 32.61% for Corporate clients, maximum between all other system specific errors. Project objective The goal is to reduce the ARGON error rate by at least 25% by end of Q3 of 2018. In scope To launch a DMAIC Six Sigma project to reduce number of errors. To do a root cause analysis of the existing problem.
Out of scope CIC employees are present globally and most of the subject matter experts (SME) work in a different time zone. An examination discloses that most of the errors are occurred at CIC’s Manila location by their employees. Six Sigma core squad is located in Kitchener, Ontario. Also, during the peak time, SMEs have very limited availability. CIC’s GB Plan setup team also has very limited Data available.
