28 March, 2019 Teaching Documentary Questions: 1. What are some values or personality traits that characterize successful teachers who thrive in the classroom? -A very important trait all teachers should have is patience. The classroom can get stressful at times, so it is important to have a calm tone even when irritated. In the documentary Lindsey said “The best teachers who are the teachers who are learners.” I believe this is also a good trait to keep in mind when teaching. As a teacher you will always learn, if it’s from the system or the students. 2. What are some of the reasons people may inspire to join the teaching profession? -Teachers don’t just teach. They are an adult figure in the students’ lives, they protect the students, they help, teach, comfort, etc. Teachers play many roles in the classroom. I believe people become a teacher to teach people. I want to be a teacher to interact and teach the younger generation. The younger generation will become the next president, astronaut, teacher, etc. They play a big role in the future of our world. 3. Look back on history as a student, what could have been done differently within the confines of the classrooms that would have enriched your schooling experience? -Over the past ten years the united states have globalized tremendously. Technology has entered the schools a lot more, and made their way into the classrooms. The schools have had big adjustments on their safety procedures. I think if there was more technology in the classroom, it could have enriched my schooling experience....
