Hello class, There are many ways that technology can bring the arts to life for students. Technology gives students a new way to create art. One resource that could be used to integrate the arts into a social studies classroom is Smarthistory. “Smarthistory is a multimedia open educational resource focused on art history. The site covers a variety of artistic periods, styles, themes, and artists via videos and essays” (Gross, 2014). Another resource is PBS. PBS is a great website to use because it has many educational videos to help students learn about culture and art throughout history. Another resource is iCivics. This website provides students with educational games and different lesson plans.
