Topic 4 DQ 2 Which website did you choose to evaluate for your essay assignment? Please provide the URL of the website and the name. Post a message in which you describe your web site (at least one paragraph), and then offer some analysis of the website and how it meets the criteria (at least one more paragraph). Hello Prof. Palenque, The website I picked was add.org/adhd-facts. I liked this site because it just provided nothing but facts and stats related to ADD and ADHD. Since I like stats and history I like to see what is currently going on and what has happened and the progress we have made between then and now on this disease. This site provided all that information on a document that only took 10 minutes to read and a few more to check out their resources to see if it was valid or not. All the criteria were met on this page except for one and that was one part of accuracy. There was no way to get ahold of the author. If their references weren’t strong I probably would have left this site and looked for another one.

Hello Everyone, Jim Carrey is one of my favorite actors. Although I have to say I did not care that much for Dumb and Dumberer. But that technique he used is very interesting and can work I believe. That’s how I achieve my goals. Right now my goal is my degree and I visualize my family having fun on trips to Disney, not working as hard as I did in the military and for me, I also imagine myself with my family. Whereas before I retired I didn't include myself because I was unsure of what would happen on my deployments and so forth. Like Oprah was saying to everything that happens to you in life a bad boss etc. is all a teachable moment if you allow it. What she said is spot on and very strong. Hello Professor and Class, I would say when I go out to eat the food is the most important part to me. Being in S.Korea I have walked into some pretty questionable places to eat. Not the cleanest places and questionable structures. But I'm glad I did because that lead to some pretty amazing food and great experiences with the locals. And anything has to be cleaner than the chow hall at a deployed location. Something I hate though is bad service and how people think even crappy waiters or waitresses deserve a tip of some kind. If they wanted a tip they should be more attentive and check their attitudes at the door. My wife is one of those people and think it's okay to tip 4% if the service was bad. She hates it when I don’t tip anything for bad service.

Hello Lauren, That is really interesting that they have removed the link you mentioned for the adults. If I saw this I would just think maybe they pulled it for two reasons. The first one would be that one of the Dr's working on the information found some bad information and is pulling it down till it's fixed. The second one would be that they are updating some of the old information with something new that just came out. Since medicine is always making progress this would be the one I would actually think.

Hello Natasha, Thank you for sharing that site. I have bookmarked it future use. I have been using http://www.citationmachine.net/ for my APA format. It seems to work really well so far and it's free to use. An added feature I like about this site is that it will also give you an additional tab called in-text citation for your reference material. The only thing I have noticed that needs help is

the beginning of each word in the title is capitalized and in the GCU guide only the first one is capitalized and the rest is lower case.

Hello Natasha, I was a bit skeptical at first because I couldn’t find the contact information for the Psy.D. When I found the references and checked on some of those I did feel a little better about the site and the author. I really liked how all that information was laid out and how easy and quick it was to read and get the meat of the information that was available. As with everything, I would remain a little skeptical until I could do some more research. But that’s just due to how I am.

Hello Donivon, I kind of wish you would have shared a link so I could see the webpage you're talking about. I'm a visual kind of person and I always tend to do better reading what you typed out and then looking at the site and having them both open at the same time. From your description though I do like how you mentioned that there was an article for parents and teachers on how to help children with ADHD. Did you get a chance to see how old the information is that they provided? I am a little curious to see what some of the input was that the teachers provided. Most of the information I have read has come from scientists and doctors....
