Hello Everyone, I have chosen to do my research paper on ‘The Trail of Tears’. This historical event was a time when many Native American Indians were pushed from their land in the east and driven westward on a very long journey due to Andrew Jacksons Indian removal policy. During this journey, many Indians lost their lives. The research question that I would like to know more about is What effect did the removal of the Native Americans have on developing the South and West? Also, what was the lasting effect on the Native American Indian due to this policy? Something that interested me about the Quebecois immigrants is that they were very harassed during this time. They were simply trying to come and make a better life for themselves, however not everyone was willing to let them do that. When the Ku Klux Klan started harassing these people based upon their religious beliefs did most of them leave and go back to Quebec or did they endure and succeed in making better lives for themselves?...
