Bio Reflection When I first read the responses from numerous students, I was very surprised. I thought “were they really feeling the same way i’m feeling now?”. I’m sure many freshman are still stressed with adapting to a new academic schedule, social life, and living away from home for the first time, but I didn't expect that we were all in the same boat.

These student reflections gave me a bit of comfort to know it's normal to still be stressed and worried about my future at school. I could relate to Student J when they mentioned “You’ll realize most of us are here for the same reasons” because school is a community where students are around each other 24/7. We must all thrive together and do our best because we all came here to succeed right? It’s ok for a freshman like me who’s been here for a month worry a lot.

Especially with my first exam later today, you bet I am freaking out!!! You're probably wondering “why is she doing this assignment early and not focusing on her exam?”. Well my answer to that is I always feel the need to get things done. I’ve studied numerous hours for this exam and I need to give myself a break from freaking myself out every two minutes and now

reflect on those student responses. I’m actually glad I read what those students had to say because I overly-worry about exams.

It makes me believe that one mistake is not the end of my academic career. When Student L said “...I have learned that not every failure is the end of the world (though at the moment it always seems that way), that they can be a learning moment” I truly agree with that. I'm usually a perfectionist which I know is not helpful at times when I know I will make mistakes here and there. But it doesn’t mean that I should throw all my successes away over one failure because everyone has failures that we could all learn from.

Looking forward into the future, I am confident that school will feel more like a home to me as time goes on. I’m excited to see what I will accomplish here....
