Purpose Preparing, practicing and reflecting on interviews will support you in improving your interview skills. Explanation of tasks In module 8, you selected a job posting to which you tailored your resume and cover letter. In module 11, you carried on the analysis of that posting to predict interview questions and prepare written responses. During modules 11, 12, and 13, you worked on a series of worksheets to help you prepare for interviews. In this assignment, you will be submitting your preparation activities as well as practicing them by conducting a peer reviewed mock interview and then reflecting on your performance. Prior to completing the tasks, be sure to review the attached rubrics.

Step One: Interview Preparation Job Posting Company: - Gamelof Job Role: - B2B Marketing Manager Job Description: - You will work closely with our North American team as well as the Global team based overseas to help grow Gamelof’s Advertising Solutions awareness in the advertising industry. You will report to the Senior Director of Advertising, North America. Your main missions will be: 1. Manage relationships with Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and committees 

Monitor IAB communications for opportunities to promote Gamelof



Coordinate with Account Executives and Advertising Sales Director to make sure that Gamelof has representation in relevant IAB committee meetings



Follow up with AEs/Advertising Sales Director on action items and sales leads from IAB meetings



Position Gamelof as thought leader within the IAB



Arrange for sponsorships and speaking engagements within the IAB’s schedule



Convey IAB priorities to the PR Manager and the Advertising Sales Director to enable a response via press release, white paper, post, etc.

2. Event planning, participation, and sponsorships



Organize Gamelof-hosted client events, including client appreciation parties, information sessions, food trucks, team meeting



Evaluate advertising industry events for speaking and sponsoring opportunities, book them



Explore entertainment and other industry events for visibility opportunities – e.g. E3, SXSW, Comicon, CES. Events tailored to other key verticals: food & drink, automotive, education, wireless, PC, retail, government services



Plan organize and book internal events including the North American Ads Team Summit.

3. Awards and Recognition 

Cultivate relationships with organizations that manage advertising and entertainment industry awards



Collect necessary information from AEs and AMs to build successful applications for awards, manage nomination process



Build visibility for Gamelof Advertising business through industry awards



Coordinate with PR Manager to publicize successes and awards



Communicate with B2B managers in other regions to leverage each other’s successes.

4. Promotional material 

Ensure that the sales teams have promo materials/swag to provide to clients and partners.

2 to 5 years of professional experience in PR or Marketing.



Extensive list of contacts in the media, and proven track record at building new relationships with journalists



Strong knowledge of the advertising industry, digital in particular.



Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.



Interest in gaming, advertising and technology.



Bachelor's degree in English Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or an equivalent major.

Developed a strategy where the meeting’s flow was redesigned, and flaws were eliminated reducing the risks and potential problems which resulted as a hindrance in closing the sale. Also started presentation and video showing to clients to make then better

Within 2 months the sales closing ratio increased to 80% just by eliminating the flaws and developing new flow of meeting and implementing client interaction techniques.

Once when in the meeting there was a slight printing error which was our fault and the client accused my company of cheating the clients, I interrupted the clients and immediately took him to the inventory to give him a visible proof that we used the exact product in the picture and there was just the printing error in quote. I added email and other necessary content to all the previous posts and aggressively started hosting webinars which required email address to register which started generating emails of potential clients.

Due to this I not only saved the deal that day but also saved the company from facing legal constraints where the client threated to sue the company.

Developing this strategy enabled me to exceed the target by 30% where the earlier list was around 25,000 and it raised to 40,000 in 3 months.
