Indications: Concept: Dehydration
MILD: Dry mouth, reduced urine output or dark yellow, increased thrust
Dehydration is when the body loses more fluid than its taken in. This can happen through excessive sweating, diseases, or due to environmental factors.
MODERATE: Lightheadedness, irritable restless, muscle cramps, tachycardia. Urine is amber to dark brown. SEVERE: Altered behavior. Inability to stand or walk, hypercapnia, Weak and rapid pulse. Cold, clammy skin or hot dry skin. Loss of consciousness.
Complications:
Dry skin from a lack of oil Kidneys filter waste from blood to create urine that gets expelled from the body. Without proper hydration, organs can become strained and can incur damage. Slowed blood circulation makes muscles contract, causing discomfort contributing to delayed muscle growth via muscle fatigue. Orthostatic hypotension due to lowered blood volume.
