D082 Task 1 Katelyn Vallecillo 10/28/21

A. Global Leadership Foundation Emotional Intelligence Test (GEIT)

B. Intrapersonal Improvement 1. My GEIT results scored a 6/10 for self-awareness. According to the research of Daniel Goleman, I need to focus on improving my self-confidence in order to improve my selfawareness. I tend to allow my inner critic voice to guide my actions and thoughts and so in order to prevent this I need to become more aware of when this happening. I realize sometimes people don’t need my help, just a person to listen.

2. My GEIT results scored a 5/10 for relationship management which was a bit surprising but also enlightening. I love to be around people, and I thrive when building new relationships, but that’s all they are, new. I often find it hard to maintain relationships because it easy for me to disconnect from people. I am an introvert who loves her alone time but also needs community at certain times. When it comes to my workplace and teammates, I need to improve my relationship management by being more open and involved with my team. This also means I need to stop over-analyzing what others are doing and instead focus on how to be encouraging but effective in leading....
