Dose and effect relationships
Many environmental factors and effects range from fine physiological or biochemical changes severe illness or even worse, death. Usually the higher the dose the more severe is the effects are. What this means is that there is a directly proportional relationship between the dose and the effects thereof. If you increase the dose in many cases that means you are increasing the effects. Dose-effect relationships is said to be the relationship between dose severity of effects, which can be established for an individual or a group. Not all individuals react in the same way to a given environmental exposure, so dose-effect relationship for an individual differs from the group value. The dose-effect relationship provides valuable information for the planning in epidemiological studies. In the process of establishing safety standards, dose-effect relationship also gives useful information on effects that must be prevented and those that may be used for screening purposes....
