Final Project...
The main goal of this project is to present an electrical wiring design allocated for residential homes where proper installation of receptacles, lighting outlets, and switches are observed. Moreover, the project also covers how the load was estimated through service entrance calculations. When computing the required size for electrical service in the course of recent construction or when an electrical network is upgraded, the procedure entails calculating the possible demand of all electrical equipment and lighting fixtures, then giving the correct size of the electrical service to provide a reasonable margin. Furthermore, picking suitable conductors and overcurrent protective devices in accordance with the required ampacity of the branch circuits are also presented in the project. As a key to the completion of the electrical plan, a Fire Alarm System shall be installed. It will be mounted on every floor level, in every bedroom, and in every room where electrical appliances are operated. This is to avoid casualties as fire and smoke spread rapidly and erratically. The completion of the project was conveniently aided by various resources, tools and software programs. The main source of all the rules followed in the entire project is the Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1 (2018, 24th edition). The guidance provided by the book undoubtedly helped the learners throughout the completion of the project. Besides, the drawings from the Electrical Wiring Residential (8 th Canadian Edition) was as well used as a basis and it augmented the knowledge of the learners to further improve their project piece. The AutoCAD computer software was also utilized. However, it was only used for dimensioning. On top of that, Microsoft Office Word deserves most of the credits with regards to the aesthetic value, symbols used in the drawings, tables provided, and all of the great features MS Word can offer for project editing and polishing. Lastly, materials such as laptops and lecture notes played an important role in supplementing the project. DISCLAIMER: This material was developed for EET 114 Drawing Interpretation project through Centennial College, School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science. This project was made to provide student authors an opportunity to experience practical work and is, therefore, cannot be used for implementation purposes.

Electric Vehicle Supply
In the long run, no matter how big or small the details are in an electrical drawing, all of it is essential. Each of these electrical elements plays an important role and if not taken carefully and seriously may result to worst-case scenarios. In connection to this, to avoid confusion and for the readers to have a clear understanding on how the learners came up with all the data presented, the project was divided into sections and are arranged accordingly. First, a brief explanation of what was done was introduced. It included the Canadian Electrical Code as a primary source throughout the construction of the project. The tools and methods used are also presented in this chapter. Second, the service entrance calculations were shown in a tabular form. Third, the electrical drawings were provided with the proper placement of the receptacles and lighting outlets in accordance with the CEC. Fourth, the branch circuits and their corresponding wire sizes and circuit breakers were presented in a tabular form. Lastly, an appendix is included at the last part of the project where documents and specifications of the devices that the learners have designed are listed. By the end of the project, the students’ abilities to read electrical plans were enhanced and they’ve learned to apply the lectures they studied from their EET 114 subject in a practical work.
The students would like to express their gratitude to their EET 114 Professor, Fabio Lini, who supplemented significant knowledge in order for the students to arrive to such project, and for providing the students an opportunity to experience hands-on work.
