LESSON PLAN GEOMETRIC SEQUENCE Learning Area: Mathematics Duration: 30 Year: Course: BSEd Mathematics 3rd Year – 2nd Semester minutes (Geometric Sequence) Learning Defines a geometric sequence. Competency Topic: Geometric Sequence 1. OBJECTIVE: Knowledge To understand the abstract idea of geometric sequences. Skills To use geometric sequence formulas in practicing problems. Attitudes To manipulate and work the relevant formula. Values To recognize the use of having knowledge about geometric sequence into real-life situations. 2. CONTENT: Knowing why geometric sequence is important.

4. PROCEDURE

Guess what’ what’s s ne next? xt? On this game the students will be tested on who is the fastest thinker and the first one to put the correct answer on the chat box. Everyone on the class will be given a fair chance to win this game. A. Motivation

The teacher will show set of objects wherein the students will guess on what should be next. The first student to put the right answer on the chat box will have a reward from the teacher.

After the game, give the student at least a minute break before starting the online discussion. B. Lesson Proper

First make a short introduction about the topic and ask if every student were ready and good.

Geometric Sequence

In a Geometric Sequence each term is found by multiplying the previous term by a constant

Example #1

In General we write a Geometric Sequence like this: {a, ar, ar2, ar3, ... } where:  

a is the first term, and r is the factor between the terms (called the "common ratio)

To see if the students have a knowledge and learning’s about the topic. The class will have exercises that will enhance their knowledge about the topic geometric sequence; The teacher will give students at least 2 minutes to answer the questions that been flash on their screens.
