I was able to thoroughly comprehend operations management and everything it entails during the course of this semester. I was able to study supply chain management and the impact that operations management has on current challenges in a business throughout the course, which has helped me create a more grasp of supply networks. This self-reflection will target what I have learned and particular involvement gained from the first 9 weeks of the subject with many lecture exercises, and a companion speaking workshop in the following sections.

1. What did I learn? To begin, I have learned the core operation functions and essential components of supply chain operation management. The development of controlling the instructions, products, commerce, and duties movement through a firm's chain of providers, producers, merchandisers, and

customers is known as logistics management (Supply Chain Management). A well-managed supply chain can help a company decrease operating costs while maintaining or boosting added value and profits. To do so, a corporation must effectively manage its operation function, which encompasses several interconnected operations such as forecasting, scheduling, inventory management, and quality assurance. I had no knowledge of those logistics functions, materials, and money outflow that are well managed across a supply chain in the beginning. When I started the course, I learned that the ICT that stands for information and communication technology is a critical and vital aspect in controlling the logistics network of applications, and that it is changing how firms organize business. This serves as a contributor and developer of goods and transform information, as well as assists in the reduction of paperwork and leading times. Furthermore, I have learned the MRP, which is Material requirements planning, an artificial intelligent solution, which can define the most needed factors for manufacture if there has been the demands, and figure the amounts, is a good example of using technology in operation management. During the tutorial lesson, our speaker not only explained concepts and theories, but also gave us several practical tasks to help us see the operating function in a realistic manner. We acted as the production manager of a bookcase firm for the MRP topic, and we had to figure out the aggregate payment, volume, and schedule of prepared-shipment discharges with the aim of reaching distribution demands beneath various scenarios. Having completed the assignment, I have a better understanding of how to create a detailed strategy before developing a product in order to match the needs and expectations of the final user. In addition, I am lucky enough to have the honor to be a part of group 3 in many discussions that gives me the chance to gain more knowledge of the themes in many angles to have a better understanding of what the course indicates. 2. Why does it matter? What might/should be done considering what you have learned? It is that fact that there is always a role for operations management in every firm. This is because the subject in general plays an essential role in most of the businesses that exist. Having said that, the core ideas of operation functions and computer-based systems learned in class are critical since they provide me with an overview of the complete supply chain process and how IT is used in each step. Each department must complete its tasks, KPIs, and continuously improve its system in order for an integrated supply chain to be effective and sustainable. The system and dissemination of unprocessed information from a logistics network were secured and converted to distinct papers when ICT was used. This is especially critical since SCM managers want accurate and timely information on current and projected production and warehouse capabilities, inventory levels, shipment charges, and consumer’s needs throughout the operation. Furthermore, the lecture slides and activities are deeply related to my supply chain management program as well as my future career in logistics and supply chain management. With a dream of becoming directors, we must comprehend these fundamental ideas in order to effectively manage the firm's operations, increase customer happiness, and improve the overall success of the company. Being in the OMGT2199 class, I have obtained my point of view that the function of automated programs is influencing the logistics networks and firms. Previously, I had no thoughts of how artificial intelligence and advanced technologies could be a great help or create bad disruptions in the employed areas. Now, this course teaches me how complicated logistics and supply chain management is, which includes a lot of categories and functions. Therefore, it is a waste of time

to generate information as well as the data might be less precise if they are all completed by hand and not being modernized persistently. 3. Describe what you observed from the guest speaker and/or the company site? In terms of hands-on experience, all course participants had the opportunity to participate in an online meeting with industry experts, including Mr. John Hellriegel, who came to us from Rutgers University in the United States and has worked for Estee Lauder, Honeywell International, and Guinness Beer, to discuss the digitalization of Vietnamese supply chain management. While several countries began digitizing their supply chains roughly around 18 years ago, Vietnam has only recently begun its digital logistics transformation. He stated that progressive machines and automated programs like warehouse management system, transportation management system, and freight management system could be a great help to a company's supply chain to support internal logistics and optimize resources, resulting in significant improvements in performance and customer satisfaction. As a result, many businesses have converted to a digital supply chain. One of them is Amazon, which uses robots to process their ecommerce selection and lotting processes. I understand the worldwide logistics effective scheme based on the data presented by the guest speakers and Amazon’s company. Moreover, I found that all of the discussion data is strongly close to all of the theories and exercises that Mr.Hung has taught in the first 9 classes, and they could be a great help for advancing my business studies to a realistic level, as well as a great solution for my future career....
