Obesity concept map...
Obesity Concept Map Creating a concept map was a much more interesting approach into thinking how different aspects of obesity interrelate with one another. It offers a visual representation of how different factors play into the causation, or result of obesity, directly. The process forced me to consider aspects separate than just ones that caused obesity, but rather, were a direct effect of being obese. Most notably, I was able to explore some of the psychological and social ramifications of obesity, rather than just consider the health effects; for example, the correlation between obesity and depression (Luppino, 2010). This offered a different perspective into the psychological effects of obesity, and, being a part of a family with many obese people, gave me a way to sympathize with these members of my family. Furthermore, it allowed me to inspect some risk factors that are associated with obesity, so that I am able to consciously avoid them, and inform my family members on how to improve their health.
