This week my written assignment is on Almarai Food Company. Almarai Company is a Saudi multinational dairy company which is listed on the Tadawul stock exchange. It specializes in food and beverage manufacturing and distribution. The company's main offices are located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. According to Almarai literature, the dairy company - founded by Irish Agri Pioneers Alastair and Paddy McGuckian - began with 350 cows, before expanding its operations dramatically over the past three decades. The company is now responsible for more than 200,000 cows globally and is the world's largest vertically integrated dairy company. The company notably partnered with PepsiCo from 2009 onwards and has been responsible for acquiring a number of large businesses.

Almarai started its operations in the field of dairy production in 1977. Dairy has always been the core of Almarai's business. The vast product range includes fresh milk, laban, flavored milk, milkshakes and evaporated milk, cream, yoghurts, desserts, natural and processed cheeses, butter, and ghee.

Juices:Almarai entered the Juice sector in the mid ninety and achieved a great position within the company’s business category.

Almarai produces over 24 flavors of juices with over 2 million bottles daily.

Today Almarai products have over 18 million daily consumers.

Promotion:Almarai have different types of communicating offerings for customers. They are doing many promotional events on social media, electronic media and market activities. Sometimes they are reducing prices or offering buy one get one free offer for getting customers intention. Most of the time they are also distributing free samples in supermarkets. As per Arab News (KSA local newspaper) “RIYADH, 7 November 2006 — Almarai, world’s biggest integrated dairy company, launched a unique sales promotion of its Tinned Processed Cheddar cheese in Gulf. The consumers are gifted with a series of collectible premium magnets with embossed images from different parts of GCC, when they purchase Almarai processed cheddar cheese multi-packs. Specially marked packs of four 113g tinned cheese are available in all major supermarkets and mini markets in the Kingdom and in the Gulf countries. Price:Almarai Company announced its Condensed Consolidated Interim Financial Results for The Period Ended in 31st March 2020 as below: First Quarter of 2020 Highlights 1. The Revenue for the First quarter 2020 amounted to SAR 3,592.4 million, an increase of 8.6% as compared to the corresponding quarter of the last year (SAR 3,308.9 million).

2. The Gross Profit for the First quarter 2020 amounted to SAR 1,253.2 million, an increase of 7.7% as compared to the corresponding quarter of the last year (SAR 1,163.9 million).

3. The Operating Profit for the First quarter 2020 amounted to SAR 512.8 million, an increase of 5.4 % as compared to the corresponding quarter of the last year (SAR 486.3 million)....
