In the screenshot below it states that the Fuel Tank is being replaced the most with 95 which is followed by tire repair at 74 and tire replacement comes in third with 66.

b. Is there a region of the country that experiences more part failures and replacements than others? i. Identify region: As indicated in the screenshot below it shows that it is the “MIDWEST” region with 260 repairs. ii. How might the fleet maintenance team use the information to update its maintenance schedule? This can be helpful for the maintenance team so that they can provide the adequate number of staff and supplies needed in each region to accommodate the projected repairs. c. Which parts are being replaced most due to corrosion or rust? i. Wheel Arch is replaced the most due to corrosion or rust

d. Which parts are being replaced most because of mechanical failure or accident, like a flat tire or rock through the windshield? i. Tire repairs are the parts most being repaired with 74 listed.

2. Write a brief summary of your analysis using nontechnical language.

a. While looking at the data that was given, we can see that the mid-west region has the most repairs with 260 total reported followed by the north-east with 208 total reported repairs. Also identified within the data is the most common type of repair which is the fuel tank with a total of 95 repairs throughout the country which was followed by tire repair at 74 total repairs. When looking at rust and corrosion repairs, the most common was the wheel arch , fender replacement and rocker panel. 3. Outline the approach that you took to conduct the analysis. a. What queries did you use to identify trends or themes in the data? i. When identifying trends in data, I used a UNION to find the information needed from all the regions. The Like statement was my go-to for finding the type of repair I was looking for as well. b. What are the benefits of using these queries to retrieve the information in a way that allows you to provide valuable information to your stakeholders? i. Using these queries can be very beneficial, they easily allow you to find certain things within a given set of data. Using these queries and obtaining the information precisely the way you need it laid out helps make planning easy for stakeholders, so they don’t have to wait on parts to come in when the repairs need to be made. Preventative maintenance is the best kind of maintenance. 4. Lastly, identify how the functions in the analysis tool allowed you to organize the data and retrieve records quickly so that they demonstrated what you wanted. i. Using the different select statements within Codio it made requesting and organizing the data very easy.
