Organization: Problem-Solution Audience Analysis: The audience of my speech has not yet been determined. Topic: In this speech, I will be taking about the problem of using e-cigs/vapes and how the problem can be solved in a God honoring way. General Purpose: To persuade Specific Purpose: To persuade my audience that using e-cigs/vapes is a problem and can be partly fixed in a God honoring way by creating more educational programs that go over the side-effects and hazards of e-cigs/vapes INTRO: 1. Attention Getter: At first glance, a-cigs/vapes may seem to be the harmless version of traditional cigarettes, they are actually dangerous. 2. Motive for Listening: The dangers of e-cigs/vapes can be effecting someone you know or even you. 3. Credibility Statement: I may not seem qualified to talk about this but I have done very thorough research on the subject. 4. Thesis Statement: The use of e-cigs create harmful side effects that can be remedied in a God honoring way by creating more educational programs that go over these side effects. 5. Preview Statement: During this speech I will start by talking about the specific harm e-cigs/vapes can cause to a person. I will also go over how it

Transition: Now that you have a general idea of what I am going to talk about, let’s delve into the dangers of e-cig/vape use and how they can be avoided. BODY: 1. Main Point One: The use of e-cigs/vapes has become wide-spread in today’s society because they have been reported “healthier” for people than cigarettes. While they might not be as bad as a cigarette, the use of them is still harmful to ones body. a. The amount of use of e-cigs/vapes b. Most commonly used by the youth of America “Past-month use of cigarettes was 3.6 percent among 8th graders, 6.3 percent among 10th graders, and 11.4 percent among 12th graders. gum disease. That gum damage can destroy the tissues that hold teeth in place. They have not yet been proven to cause lethal diseases Transition: Hopefully you now see why using e-cigs/vapes can be harmful to a person’s health. Let’s move on to see how this problem can be solved in a God honoring way. 1. Main Point Two: The issue of the use of e-cigs/vapes can be partially solved by creating more educational programs on the subject which spread the truth which honors God. a. Educational programs spread the truth b. Speaking truth honors God “Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.” (Proverbs 12:22) c. We are made in His image so treating it right also honors God “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27) 2. Transition: Now that you know the dangers of using e-cigs/vapes and the

solution to this problem, it is time to wrap up this speech. CONCLUSION: 1. Call to Action: The knowledge of this problem must be spread by those who so that we may help those who have been taught that using e-cigs/vapes is not harmful to a person’s body. 2. Summary: As this speech comes to a close I hope can use this information to help save others and quite possibly yourself from the harmful side effect of e-cigs/vapes.
