Psychology Speed Dating Assignment Name: Jean Piagnet School of Thought: Cognitive Biographical Information: I was born on August 9 1896 in my home country of Switzerland. I believe that the education of children is of the highest importance, so I am pretty great with kids. I am so fascinated with animals that I have published several articles on the topic when I was only 15. It took me some time to discover what I love and I have finally settled on young children’s thoughts. Contributions to Psychology: I am well known for my theory of cognitive developments to show how children develop intellectually as they get older. Prior to my findings people simply thought children were just small adults with the same thinking processes, but they are not. I also began work on the constructive theory which simply states people gain knowledge of the world through their own experiences and interactions. Why you should date me: Due to my studies on the children mind I understand kids better than anyone making them naturally drawn to me. Also with my knowledge on animals I am a great dog-dad. I desire to have a family with a few animals that would enjoy long walks through the Swiss Alps. Describe your perfect date? Going to a small daycare to examine the children and their actions so I can explain to you what exactly they are thinking to reach such a conclusion. I had a nanny growing up and she once told us she had to fight off a kidnapper, but that just turned out to be a lie despite my faint memory of this incident.
