This is the roof, and this is the ceiling of the house. These are the walls and here are posts of the house. These are the windows of the house. This is the door and the floor. Last these are the stairs.

Discussion Look, what is this again?

Roof, teacher!

Very good! The roof is the upper cover of a house. Have you seen the roof of your house?

Yes, teacher.

What is the color of the roof of your house?

(Pupils will answer the question.)

Next, what is this?

Ceiling, teacher.

Very good. The ceiling is an interior cover of the house it means the you will see the ceiling inside the house. The ceiling prevent the heat of the sun to enter the house. Have you seen a house with out ceiling?

Not yet, teacher.

If the house have no ceiling, the room will be so hot. Look above you, does our classroom have a ceiling, yes or no?

Yes, teacher.

Very good. Next, what is this? Yes! These are the walls. The walls are made of wood, bricks or stone that covers the sides of the house.

Inside our classroom, where are the walls? (Pupils will answer.) What is the color of the walls? Very good.

Next, what do we call this?

Posts, teacher.

Very good! Posts are the foundation of the house. It makes the house strong and prevents the walls of the house to fall. Have you seen the posts of your house? Sometimes, you cannot see the posts easily because it also looks the walls of your houses. Look inside our room, inside the four corners of walls there are posts that makes this building strong.

Next, what is this? Very good.

Window, teacher.

Inside our room, where is the window? Yes, these windows within our walls were made of steel and glass. We always cover the windows with certain to make it look good.

What do you see outside the window? Next, what is this? Very good.

The door is made of wood and it is the entrance of a building or house. Inside our room, where is the door? What is the shape of our door? Very good. Next, what is this?

There, teacher. Rectangle, teacher.

Very good. The floor is the lower surface of a room. We are always walking on the floor.

Inside our room, where is the floor? Very good. (pupils will answer.) Last, what is this? Very good. The stairs are a series of steps for passing from level to another.

Have you seen stairs at your house? (Pupils will answer.) C.

Generalization

Okay, so can someone please tell me what are the parts of the house? (show or pointing the parts of the house.) Very good! We have learned about the parts of the house.

Roof, ceiling, windows, door, floor, posts, walls, and stairs.

D. Valuing “Class remember that we should take care of our house by maintaining stability and clean because it give us and our family a shelter to res and to live in.” E. Application Okay, since you already know the parts of the house, teacher have a big dice it has picture of parts of the house. Each of you will roll the dice and identify the picture on top where its stops. (Teacher will facilitate.)
