None Ma`am

-

“We`re fine Ma`am”

4. Checking Attendance “Do you have any absentees today?” “How are you class?”

5. Recalling “What we have discussed last meeting?”

-

“I`m gladly hear that!”

-

“So what we discussed last meeting?”

-

“Yes Rose Ann?”;

-

“Great!”

-

“Tell us the meaning of Verbal and Non-verbal communication?”

-

“Yes, Diane?”

-

“Wow! I`m impress”

-

“What are the two types of Oral Communication again?”

-

“Yes, Rhejay? “

-

“Very Good!”

-

“Seems like you remember everything I taught last meeting”

-

“Ma`am Oral and written Communication”

-

“Ma`am Verbal is spoken words. Either oral or written communication while Non-Verbal is wordless and more on signal and cues”

-

B. Motivation -

“So before we continue our lesson. I have 10 pictures here that I want you to see, and then tell me what you think it says.”

-

“Just raise your hand if you want to answer or I will call your name”

-

“Understand?”

-

“Yes, Ma`am”

-

“Have you noticed that we don`t need words to understand the pictures, were just staring on it and we knew already what does it means”

-

“Everything we see, can still communicate without using any words”

C. -

Activity

“On our next activity with same group last meeting. I need 2 representatives from each group”. “This next game entitled “Misunderstanding” so, we will use of marker and bond paper for this game”

-

“Listen to my instruction carefully because I`m not going to repeat it.”

-

“Each partner will sit back-to-back. Student A has a picture of object and must describe it without explicitly saying what the word really is to Student B. Student B must then draw it based on Student A`s description”

-

“Your plus grade will depend on how accurate the drawing of your representative”.

-

“Is that clear?”

-

“Any question?”

-

“Yes ma`am”

-

“None ma`am”

-

D. Analysis “As you can observed, when your partner said the description to you. You try to understand and draw it down, that`s the way we communicate to people. Although it was not face to face but you listen and understand”

-

“There are also instances that we do communicate while doing the gestures or movement unaware.”

-

“The best example of this is a person who`s animated when telling story”

-

“Other example is when we played pinoy henyo when you were nodding your head while saying yes, shaking your head when saying no, widening your eyes because you were all feel ecstatic”

-

“And that we`re going to discuss”.

-

“Read it, Justin”

-

“Great job Justin!”

-

“Give us an example to no. 1 Laica”.

-

“Yes, you are right!”

-

“Your movement or expression agree to what you said”

-

“What about no. 2”

-

“Yes Mary Joy”

-

“That`s right. The way he open his palm is to emphasize what he wants”

-

“What about no. three?”

-

“Yes, Loida”

-

Body language, appearance and sound of voice the cues or signals of non-verbal communication also serves four functions: 1. to complement (agree with) verbal message 2. to emphasize verbal messages 3. to replace verbal messages 4. to contradict verbal messages

-

“example ma`am is when I said “that`s funny” while smiling or laughing”

-

“When a beggar ask for food and he open his palm.”

-

“Ma`am when I ask my seatmate if he`s okay an he answered me using his thumbs up. As if he sa he`s okay”.

-

“Impressive!”

-

“Another example of this is a yes or no answered questions. Nodding or shaking head as an answer if he or she agree or not”

-

“Last number, let`s take a look the word contradict” “means disagree. The tone of your voice is not agreed on what you said. It`s in a sarcasm tone”.

-

“Example is you compliment your classmate in a funny way”

-

“Do you have any question?”|

-

“Do you understand?”

-

“None Ma`am.”

-

“Yes ma`am”

E. Abstraction - “If you really understand my lesson get your partner, and get ½ crosswise write down 2 example in each function that we discussed. I will give you 5 minutes. Then after pass it to me finish or not.” -

“Do you have any questions?” -
