Common nouns and proper nouns.

So, children, what do you notice with the nouns in the chart? How they were written? Yes, that’s right. So, what do we call them? Very good, children!

There are two kinds of nouns. They are proper nouns and common nouns. Yes, teacher. Proper nouns are particular names of people, places and things. They are written in capital letters. (Raising hands) For example: Your name, address, date of birthday and the name of your school. Common nouns are the general names of people, places, animals and things. We write common nouns in small letters. For example: doctor, church, books, clock Do you understand, children?
