A FAMOUS CONTEMPORARY LEADER’S PROFILE

A very famous contemporary leader Jack MA or his real name MA Yun is the Alibaba Group co-founder and former executive chairman that incorporated various of China’s popular websites that carry with business such as Lazada Group and Taobao. Jack MA was born on September 10, 1964 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang in China. Because of his superb English, he began giving tours of the city to Chinese tourists when he was a teenager. One of the tourists gave him the moniker "Jack MA”. Jack MA graduated in 1988 and looked for work in a variety of places until he found a position as an English teacher in a school where he became well-known and enjoyed solid relationships. He learned more about the internet, computing, and coding during his 1995 trip to the United States. Now, Jack MA is China's fourth wealthiest person with a net worth of $42.3 billion as of October 2021.

LEADERSHIP TRAITS AND SKILLS Drive A lucrative leader must always recognise his or her errors and failings in order for its adherents to not pass on their flaws toward others. Jack MA display high effort for his successfulness and has always accepted the fair share and carried it on his shoulder. He worked extremely hard fighting tooth and nail and was rewarded with achievement. Self-confidence Jack MA had an extremely upbeat attitude toward the company's long-term goals. For example, his prediction that eBay would be defeated by Alibaba's offering in the near future proved to be correct. MA introduces in his employees a similar approach toward their work. The employees must believe that nothing is impossible for them thus, they can complete any duties with ease. The workforce was being motivated by his enthusiastic approach toward each corporate goal. There's one situation where the proposal was almost gone from Alibaba group once in a meeting. MA did not lose his patience and continued to try to sway the proposition in their favour. He was effective in archiving the idea in the group's possession according to his self-confidence. He has always been admired for his dedication to each work. Intelligence Jack MA has talent for insight that empower him to conduct future analyses of the company and formulate strategies in proportion to with things in his timeline. The future plan necessitates a full grasp of the situation and subsequent discussion. To select the best strategy, a leader's vision must be appropriate. Jack MA is a visionary person who has the ability to glimpse to the future and used his vision to develop Alibaba Group's ultimate strategies. He always expressed this vision with the other colleagues, assisting them in comprehending the company's future elements and how they might contribute to its success.

LEADERSHIP BEHAVIOUR

Relation orientation

Jack MA operated in a relation orientation behaviour. He is a remarkable leader that involve his people in decision-making and take their opinion as consideration. He eventually meets with every new employee in the firm and he always held staff meetings. Most importantly, Jack MA created an intranet system to transmit messages with his employees by allowing them to share their opinions and interact with them in a casual manner. Jack MA is a sensible leader as he never let anyone down. It is a quality that demonstrates the leader's interest in the actions of his or her subordinates. Another incident is when China was hit by SARS, Alibaba Group continued to operate regularly and employees continued to work from their homes to safeguard their employees from the sickness (Alibabagroup.com, 2015). Jack MA's behaviour in this situation is so sensible as a leader, as we can see that he is willing to take risks, as he does not want to risk the health of any of his employees, but at the same time that every business was experiencing revenue declines, Alibaba was operating normally and making money as if it were normal days.

Jack MA feels that this sort of an organization requires employees' creativity and flexibility as the main backbone in one’s company. As a result, he permits his employees to participate in decision-making since he believes that the best decisions are made when the majority agrees on everything. Jack MA stated that the company would not be successful without the ability of cooperation amongst members of the team because most individuals do not have all skills, Jack MA should be in the interacting framework. They require the assistance of others to bridge the gap. Jack MA were mark by his follower's level of trust. People have faith in him, and he has faith in his employees. He has always backed them up and boosted their spirits. To keep his coworkers motivated, he held annual entertainment parties such as the Talent Show to enjoy together with his co-workers. (Stone & D'Onofrio, 2014).
