Lesson Proper Lan Cabling- process of creating cable used to create a network that interconnect with the computer. Materials and Tools Used in Lan Cabling a. UTP (unshielded twisted pair) – most common cable used in computer networking. Number of twisted pair wires are often grouped together and enclosed in a protected shealth to form a cable. b. RJ45 Connector- regulated jack 45 is an eight wire connector used to connect computer to category 5 unshielded twisted pair cable in a network. c.
