Notes in class 1. Note the differences between the weddings 1st wedding was very authentic and louder. Could see more emotion and expression of happiness. Singers were narrating. Dancing was fast. More planned out. 2nd wedding is much more formal and quieter. Traditional to American culture. Shorter, wasn’t as much to it. Dancing was slow. Attire was much more formal and modern. 2. Describe the mood of each scene, what element contributes to this mood? 1st wedding: upbeat, happy, whole village was very involved 2nd wedding: Very calm, sad undertones. Quiet. Not much happening. Dancing was slow

3. Is there an argument being made from these contrasting scenes? Since the 2nd wedding was so short, it was not as significant as the first wedding to daam and the plot of the story. You can tell that daam does not care as much about kine as he does his first wife. 1st wife is more important than the 2nd wife....
