A. GEIT Test Complete and submit your GEIT results by attaching a PDF or a screenshot of the test results page to your submission.

B. Intrapersonal Improvement Apply either the research of Peter Salovey and John D. Mayer or Daniel Goleman to explain TWO ways that you can improve your intrapersonal areas of opportunity (self-awareness and/or self-management). 1. Salovey and Mayer talk about self-management as achievement, adaptability, positive outlook and emotional self-control. The improvement I could make in one of these areas would be emotional self-control. One way to improve this is to think and not instantly react to the situation at hand.

2. Self-awareness is the ability to understand one's feelings and yourself. According to Salovey & Mayer, one way I can improve my self-awareness is to write down goals, and make a conscious decision every day to do something to accomplish the goals I have set for myself.

C. Interpersonal Improvement C. Describe TWO EI communication techniques that can improve your interpersonal areas of opportunity (social awareness and/or relationship management). 1. Part of social awareness is organizational awareness which according to the text material is “the ability to effectively articulate your own perspective and sense whether your message is getting across and making an impact”. I can improve on this by paying attention to a person's body language.

2. Relationship management is teamwork, coaching and being a mentor, conflict management, influence & inspirational leadership. One way I can improve on my conflict management skills is by taking my own emotions out of a situation and actively listening.
