University of the people Written assignment unit 5 PSYC 1205: EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE 05. 10. 2021

Recall your MBTI profile and write a short description of who you are as a leader. Use your knowledge as of now—so; do not copy any earlier statements. Prepare a new description and note any changes or developments. The importance of the MBTI personality test lies in awareness of our personality type, through which we can better understand ourselves so that we can deal with our different waves of emotions, and what we need, and helps us to identify our positives and negatives, so we work on exploiting the positives and improving the negatives. On the other hand, it enables us to improve our relationships with other people, as we learn to control our behavior while they are around, and it improves the way we communicate. Through the Personality Test (MBTI) that I took, it became clear to me that I am an entrepreneurial personality (ESTP). As the entrepreneurial personality, according to the test site, is: “An Entrepreneur (ESTP) is someone with the Extraverted, Observant, Thinking, and Prospecting personality traits. They tend to be energetic and action-oriented, deftly navigating whatever is in front of them. They love uncovering life’s opportunities, whether socializing with others or in more personal pursuits” (NERIS Analytics Limited, n.d). By reading the description of my personality that was provided to me by the test site and what I wrote previously to note the development of my personality, and after re-reading and contemplation, my understanding of my personality and strengths and weaknesses increased, and I found an amazing combination of being a pioneer and a leader. Where many important qualities must be present in the personality of the leader and the leader at the same time, and the most important qualities that I wrote down and developed each week are: 'Resistance' and 'Passion' In fact, many entrepreneurial people and leaders work too long for little money or sometimes for nothing. Because they may be in this situation to solve a problem or to make it easier. As success as an entrepreneur and as a leader is simply the ability to move from failure to failure without losing their enthusiasm and passion. It is better to know that it is normal to fail, this may be an uncomfortable and intolerable truth for some, so the leader and pioneer has the awesome ability to resist and get up again and start over. Instead of giving up, as a leader and entrepreneur we must learn that our failures are the reason for our success. The ability to see opportunities Entrepreneur leaders see opportunities everywhere and at any time. They are innovative people who always want to either develop new ideas or improve a product or service. The exploitation of opportunities and logical thinking are the main reasons that made them entrepreneurs and leaders. In addition, "optimism" when the work begins, the work may seem futile at first or cannot be achieved. However, entrepreneurs do not think that way. They are optimistic about the future and think positively. In addition, "self-confidence and self-motivation" are important advantages for the entrepreneur and leader. The entrepreneur does not think that his idea is good, but believes in it. They are motivated enough to move forward in the belief that the work is worth the time and money. Moreover, they believe that they are the only people who can turn a dream into a

reality. In addition, as leaders, we must secure mutual trust, show respect, motivate ourselves, motivate others, be grateful to ourselves for our efforts, and be grateful to others as well to ensure lasting success and progress. Moreover, "flexibility" is where the leader is able to adapt to changes and challenges in any business. In fact, most entrepreneurial people say that their plan has changed dramatically since its inception and implementation in the labor market. Every idea can be amazing; entrepreneurs are flexible enough to make adjustments to make it work.

Describe how you are learning of the two leadership tools, SCARF and NVC, can help you become the leader you want to be.  The tool (NVC) helps me to communicate with myself and create an internal conversation for what is on my mind and mind, and discuss issues with my mind and heart, which helps me to understand myself more and more by discussing and communicating with it, and it also allows me to understand my pent-up and confused feelings, stir them and direct them positively. Self-talk motivates us to accept ourselves as we are and develop it for the better. In addition, this tool fills us with empathy with ourselves and with others. Empathy helps us to better understand others, understand their personalities and experiences, and interact with them. I actually plan to develop and develop a sense of empathy with others, support them and listen well to them, as this gives us a wonderful feeling of humanity and love and creating a positive and motivating environment.

 As for (SCARF), what caught my eye the most is independence, fairness and certainty are the most important parts for me and I aspire to make them essential qualities in my personality. Since certainty in something makes us realize better and be confident in ourselves and calmer during intense discussions and so on, and depends on our being able to prove our point of view on a particular thing in a professional and confident manner with providing evidence to prove it. The certainty is the complete knowledge in which there is no doubt. Moreover, independence in organizing our own ideas and ourselves and building them according to our needs and experiences without affecting another person and presenting them with full confidence, freedom and creativity. As for fairness in treatment, it is very important to me. I strive to be fair to myself first and then to others, because he who does not do justice to himself cannot do justice to others.
