Description

Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire Based on: Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence: Why it can matter more than IQ (1995); Questionnaire modified by Suzanne Farmer et al. (c.2013) UT Southwestern’s Office of Development and Training.

To find out how emotionally intelligent you are, answer the items from sections A and B from a scale of 1 (low agreement) to 5 (high agreement). Once you have completed each section. Tally your scores in section C. For example:

1 3 5 7 11 13 14 + 15 Self-Management Total =

5 2 4 5 5 5 3 1 30/40

24/35

You will have calculated your score out of either 35 or 40 for each domain in sections A and B. This will let you know if you are high or low in emotional intelligence within each of the four domains. Answers are neither “good” nor “bad” but rather inform you of your strengths and/or where you can improve.
