Description

I saw at least two different worldviews depicted when watching the Movie Book Of Eli. That being both Theism and atheism, The Movie takes place after an apocalyptic event, and the book Eli was carrying, we find out it is the last Bible on earth because they were all destroyed. They seemed to blame religion for how the world was in the movie, so the behavior of Carnegie and his men trying to steal the Bible from Eli and would stop at nothing eventually led to the death of Eli. Eli depicted the worldview of Theism in that he carried the book for miles and miles; then it turns out he is blind, so he was guided on his mission From faith, and Eli said in the movie he was walking by faith, not sight. His mission was to carry on the word of GOD, and in the end, even though the book was stolen from Eli, he remembered it and was able to recite the Bible to the man they met in town so copies could be made of the book. My favorite part of the movie was when he was talking to Solara about what he went through in the nuclear war, and then he heard a voice telling him to follow his path with the book until it was safe he had walked for 30 years. “I walk by faith, not by sight” (Corinthians 2 5:7, ESV)....
