Reflect and write about your ideal self and real self. How near or far are you from ideal self. •

The real self and the ideal self, according to Humanistic Psychologist Carl Rogers, make up the personality. Your real self is who you are right now, but your ideal self is who you desire to be. The real self and the ideal self are concepts used in psychology to define personality dimensions. Our real self is who we truly are. It is the way we think, feel, look, and behave. Others can see our real self, but because we have no means of actually knowing how others perceive us, our real self are our self-images. On the other side, the ideal self is who we desire to be. It's an idealized version of ourselves that we've created through time based on our knowledge and experiences. What our parents taught us, what we admire in others, what our society supports, and what we believe is in our best interests might all be part of our ideal self. My real self, right now, is that I am a first year Bachelor of Science in Accountancy student while my ideal self is to be a CPA-Lawyer, once I am done taking up BSA, I will pass the board exam to continue taking up Law. I can say that I am quite near of my ideal self however there will be hindrances but then I will continue to fight for my dreams because that is what my heart desires. I would love to give back for my parents sacrifices, I want them to be proud of me and who will I become. I will have a feeling of mental well-being or peace of mind if the way I am (the real self) is in line with the way I aspire to be (the ideal self). If I am not connected with how I wish to be, I will experience mental anguish or anxiety as a result of the inconsistency, or lack of alignment. The bigger the discrepancy between the ideal self and the real self, the greater the ensuing anguish.

Write your need to do to realize your ideal self. •

Self-discovery necessitates bravery and perseverance. You must move away from distracting erroneous ideas that obscure or distort your self-perception in order to approach your fundamental self. We disregard our own interests and passions when we just do things to please others. What if you concentrated on being the greatest version of yourself instead of comparing yourself to others and saying yes to others? It's a never-ending adventure. Consider the qualities you admire the most in yourself, as well as the qualities you admire in others. For those of us who are hard on ourselves, this might be challenging. Surrounding oneself with excellent people

is one of the most common methods to improve. It can be difficult to change the way we think, act, or behave since habits and qualities are firmly ingrained in our personalities. Allow yourself time to adjust and be proud of the progress you've made. Because our habits and traits are deeply established in our personality, changing the way we think, act, or behave can be challenging. Allow yourself time to adjust and be pleased of your accomplishments. Examining your everyday decisions might help you figure out what you need to alter to become the person that others will one day celebrate. The only way to develop a strategy to become your ideal self, in my opinion, is to take a hard look at the big picture of your life. That is, sit down and create compelling, inspirational, and broad long-term goals in your life, broken down into short-term, medium-term, and long-term views, as follows: First and foremost, understand exactly what you desire and why you desire it: who I aspire to be; what I hope to accomplish; what I desire to own; I'd want to improve; the things I'd like to change; and in conjunction with the following key life dimensions: scholastic pursuits; mental development; professional goals; physical health; financial wealth; family connections; social networking; leisure activities; spiritual growth. I am the only one who can make my future but my friends and family will always be there to support me....
