Description

Finding Your Purpose Name: Ashley Munoz Course: CWV-101 Date: 11/6/2020 Instructor: Professor Vasquez Be sure you respond to all five prompts and complete the reference page in this document before submitting. Consider how what you have learned throughout the course will impact your future. Explain how to find your purpose by answering the following questions. Include citations and references from the topic study materials. 1. Summarize the concept of missio Dei (missional purpose). Your answer in 100-150 words: God mission is the restoration and reconciliation for all people to unite, preach God, love God, follow God, love one another and to help one another. “God created the heaven and the earths and everything in it” (Gen, 1:1). He created humans for the purpose of being just like him, he created humans in his image and likeness (1:26-28). In other words, humans are supposed to be spiritual, loving, compassionate, social, and innocent so we can always please God. God wanted us to be his image and follow the bible teachings which is important to the Christian Worldview. 2. Summarize Buechner's concept of finding your purpose and explain how this aligns with the way you live out your worldview (missional purpose). Your answer in 100-150 words:

Frederick Buechner’s concept of finding your purpose is for people to set out goals and follow those goals. His concept is for individuals to find their purpose again when feeling lost and to set out goals for themselves in a way for humans to be directed in a positive way and to seek their real true identity in life. Two quotes that Buechner states are, “ Ev e n i nt h emi d s to fo urd a r kt i me sa n du nc e r t a i n t yi nou rl i v e sBu e c hn e rc l a i ms ,t h atd o o ri s a l wa y so p e ni n t of o r g i v e n e s s&l a u g h t e r ”( Wr i g l e s wo r t h,2 0 0 3 ) .La s t l y ,h eq u o t e s“ Pu r p o s e i st h ep l a c ef o rs o me o net ome e tt h e i rt r u ei d e n t i t ya n dme e tt h ewo r l dn e e d s ” .Hi sc o n c e p t i sf o rp e o p l et os e e kt h e i rt r u ei de nt i t yi nt h i sl i f ewh e nf e e l i n gl o s t .

3. Reflect on your beliefs about origins (creational purpose) and describe how those beliefs contribute to your understanding of human purpose. Your answer in 100-150 words:

My understanding of Human Purpose is that everyone was created for a purpose and that God created human beings to be created in his image. God created male and female in his own image so humans can be faithful to him, his purpose is for people to multiply and fill the earth and follow the bible teachings. God quoted, “I created human beings in my image, to be just like me, for humans to be fruitful and multiply, fill this earth and govern it” (Genesis 1:26-28). Therefore, the concept of human purpose is to be faithful to God to follow his teachings so that we can live an eternal life. 4. Describe how Jesus's statement of overarching purpose in the commandment to love God and love others as ourselves can be lived in and out of the workplace. Your answer in 100-150 words: Jesus statement of overarching purpose to love God and love others means that God loved us before Jesus gave himself for us and that we should give love and receive love from others. God wants us to accept one another and reciprocate love. This is very important because it teaches us the value of the bible teachings. To deeply love others can cover many sins. To be kind to one another and forgive one another is what God wants us to do. 5. Describe how your future career can be an opportunity to help others flourish, to be purposeful, and to do no harm. Your answer in 100-150 words: I truly believe things happen in our lives so we can learn and grow from our mistakes. Based on my life experiences I been through a lot and hurt in life that has shaped me to become a stronger individual. Unfortunately, a very recent event has happened that can possibly change my educational career for the worst. The only thing I can do is pray to God for the best and for a second chance. In a educational point of view is to teach others to learn from their mistakes even if it is done by accident, to always be aware because mistakes can happen even if is not intentional a lot of mistakes can happen especially if a student is transitioning from college to university and do not know how to cite properly. In a life point of view, it is important to teach others how to genuinely love one another and to support one another at all times. It is not ideal to judge other people actions because we do not know what that person is going through nor would God want us to judge others. God want us to constantly share love and support one another this is how we can stop any harm.
