Finding Your Purpose Vouch Cheng Cheav CWV-101 June 20, 2021 Adam Rasmussen 1. Summarize the concept of missio Dei. The concept of mission Dei is the mission of God and the discover of their mission of God. His mission is helping the broken and performed a miracle on people. God sent his son Jesus Christ that represent himself to Earth and fulfilled his mission. The holy spirit was birth as birth which also carried out the God’s mission to help everyone that feel lost and not to be broken. The entire trinity was sent to Earth to fulfill God’s mission of salvation. Also, spread the word of God and teach people about Christian worldview in order to earn salvation. 2. Summarize Buechner's concept of finding your purpose. Buechner’s concept is to find your purpose and make sure it truly is God’s purpose. He states that people who enjoyed what they are doing has probably found their purpose but if it does not help the work then it not God’s purpose. Even though, you are helping the world, but you are not happy with it, it also not God’s purpose. God want everyone to enjoyed what they are doing and at the same time it also helping the world which mean happy to do God’s work. “…It is a world where terrible things happen and wonderful things too…it is a world where the battle goes ultimately to the good, who live happily ever after, and where in the long run everybody, good and evil alike, becomes known by his true name…” (Buechner, 1977) 3. Reflect on your beliefs about origins (creational purpose). For me, I do not have my believe on spiritual because I believe in science. I believe that everything happens for a reason and so people should not be disappointed when a miserable thing happens to them. There is so much science proves that we came from revolution, but I am not saying that Christian is wrong because everyone has their own opinion. An atheist, I do not think we here to serve God and we should not force someone to believe in something they do not want to. While I take this class, my opinion on religion does not change at all because I deserve to have my opinion. 4. Describe how Jesus's statement of overarching purpose in the commandment to love God. I think showing God’s love in workplace, should be difficult because religion or politic is

the biggest conflict to everyone. We must not openly discuss our believe in the workplace unless it is a religious based career. Respect your co-worker and customer is moral that everyone should has in their workplace not just because you want to live out God’s purpose in workplace. I believe that people should be rude to other people unless they disrespectful to you or other people. We should treat people with kindness. 5. Describe how your future career can be an opportunity to help others flourish, to be purposeful, and to do no harm. I think my future in finance, can help other flourish, to be purposeful, and to do no harm. With this degree, I potentially help people to manage their net income and their debts. Which help other people from getting a fraud too.
