FIELD STUDY 2 Learning Episode 8 (Establishing My Own Classroom Routines and Procedures in a Faceto-Face / Remote Learning) PARTICIPATE AND ASSIST To ensure that I can carry out perform my task efficiently and effectively in participating and assisting my cooperating teacher in establishing routines and procedures in the classroom or in remote learning, I must be guided by the following questions: 1. How will I gain student attention in the classroom /remote learning? 2. What are the routines and procedures that I need to establish before, during and after my classes whether on a face-to-face or remote learning? 3. What verbal and non-verbal communication will I use to signal that students need help/attention in the classroom / remote learning? 4. How must students get/secure the needed work materials and books and others in the classroom / remote learning? 5. How will students transition to group work and other cooperative activities in the classroom / remote learning? 6. What procedures must be followed by students who need to attend to personal necessities in the classroom/online classes? 7. What rules must be set for students who finish task early/ and for those who cannot complete work on time? 8. What procedures must be observed for tardiness / early dismissals? 9. What procedures must be done when submitting homework/ performance tasks in the classroom / remote learning? 10. What procedures must be employed in movements into and out of the classroom/remote learning? Having these guide questions in mind, consult your Resource Teacher on the possible assistance or participation that you can do to help her/him in doing the classroom routines. Complete the matrix for the routines that you can employ before, during and after classes in the classroom/remote learning to ensure order and discipline in your classes. List down the problems which you have encountered while implementing these routines. We are given the opportunity to consult with our cooperating teacher about any possible assistance or participation that we can offer to assist her with the online class routines. She requests that we prepare the PowerPoint presentation as well as the lesson plan. As a result, we were able to assist her in lightening her load.

Problems encountered while implementing the routine 1. Some students do not have enough MB in their data and leave the class in the middle of a meeting. 2. Students are still arriving late for class, despite the agreed-upon time. 3. Simple instructions, such as turning off the microphone when someone is speaking, are not understood by the student. 4. Students are having difficulty reading together due to the internet signal. 5. Parents are coaching the students who are being asked to read the sentences.

NOTICE After doing your classroom routines and formulating your procedures, state what you noticed by answering the following questions: How did you feel after employing your classroom routines and establishing your procedures in the classroom / remote learning? I was relieved because, despite the fact that some students are excessively noisy, the class flow is somewhat organized and smooth. Students are so engrossed and involved that they refuse to turn off their microphones. How did your students respond to your classroom routines and procedures? Students in an online class demonstrated positive behavior because they were attentive, active, and involved in the routines and procedures. What was the feedback of your Resource Teacher on your classroom routines and procedures? The feedback from my Resource Teacher on the classroom routines is to improve and maintain more of the routines. Aside from that, she was pleased that I had finished the task. Was there a change in the classroom environment / teaching-learning process after you have implemented your classroom routines and procedures? There has been a change in the classroom environment as a result of the implementation of classroom routines; the class flow is somewhat smoother, and I have noticed that there is now connection with the learners.

ANALYZE What factors/ conditions prompted you to establish those classroom routines and procedures? The learners' lack of connection was one of the factors that prompted me. I want to strengthen our bond and relationship as we spend the next ten days with them.

Was there a marked improvement in classroom management after employing your classroom routines? There is a noticeable improvement in classroom management, and as the class progresses, everything becomes more organized, and the students become more participative and active. Did the teaching-learning process improve? Justify your answer. Yes, the teaching-learning process has improved as a result of the learners' organization, order, and participation.

REFLECT What insights have you gained while doing this learning episode? The insights I gained during this learning episode came from my Resource Teacher's feedback on classroom routines. It is to continue to improve more classroom routines because it will be good practice for my future. It also gives me a general idea of how to interact with my students while implementing the routines and procedures that have been developed. Furthermore, I learned some techniques for attracting students' attention both in person and online.

WRITE ACTION RESEARCH PROMPTS OBSERVE The problems / challenges I encountered in establishing my classroom routines were minor, but with the assistance of my cooperating teacher and the participating students, everything went smoothly. REFLECT I hope to achieve to address these problems and challenges by strengthening and bringing out the best ideas of the students, as well as practicing organizational skills. PLAN Some strategies/ways which I can employ to improve my classroom routines are to incorporate fun and engaging activities to activate the fun and excitement as we progress through our class. ACT (Based on my answers in nos. 1-3), the possible title of my action research on this episode is "Development of Classroom Routines for Learners" To further enrich my knowledge on establishing classroom routines and procedures, whether in the classroom or in remote learning, these are some of the online resources which will help me in these activities. One of our daily routines in class is depicted in the image above. We're putting together a PowerPoint presentation, and ma'am Araceli will be the one to deliver it to the students. Our cooperating teacher, as you can see, requests that each student read what is displayed in the ppt. In our ppt, we make sure to leave some sentences at the end of each slide for students to read. We make sure that everyone can read before we finish the class. In other words, reading is a part of our daily routine....
