Description

1.Background of the study: Report writing on any organization is considered as an interface between academic knowledge and practical field. Students can have primary idea about job and can get practical exposure by knowing about various organization. The core objective of doing this report is to familiarize with real life communication and get knowledge of the organizational behavior by knowing the use of communication tools. This report is prepared on “PRAN-RFL” which is one of the largest multinational and FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer goods) company in Bangladesh and started its operation in 1981 as a processors fruit and vegetable. Over the years, the company has not only grown in stature but also contributed significantly to the overall socio-economic development of the country. PRANRFL is currently one of the most admired food & beverages brands among the millions of people of Bangladesh. The modern marketer shows a growing interest in the research of consumer decision-making styles to understand how an individual makes his/her buying decisions in the competitive environment and communication process with the consumer. This concept is important because it determines the behavioral patterns of consumers and is relevant for market segmentation. This report is to explore the relationship between consumers and the producers according to the business communication style. Therefore, the present study mainly focuses on exploring the impact of using communication tools for customer satisfaction in an organization. The main concentration of the study is to analyze the communication tools used for the customer satisfaction which is very important factor for the growth of an organization. It will help 

For this we have taken this topic as our research topic. It will support us to impart the basic concepts, principles and the techniques of business communication and help us to acquire the skills for effective communication in the workplace.

1.3 Methodology: This report is based on data collection from RFL and interview that we conducted. Both primary and secondary sources were used to collect data. We have collected the information from the following sources – 1.3.1 Primary Sources: We have collected primary information by interviewing employees, managers, general manager of different departments and observing organizational procedures, structures. Primary data were mostly derived from the discussion with the employees of the organization. 1.3.2 Secondary Sources: We have elaborated different types of secondary data in our research. 1.4 Limitations of the Study: There were some problems while we were preparing the report. An enthusiastic effort was applied to complete the report and to bring a reliable and fruitful result. In spite of having the enthusiastic effort, there exits some limitations.

The limitations were: 1. Confidentiality is the main problem; as a result some confidential facts were not sufficiently disclosed by the respective personnel. 2. Lack of available up-to-date information. 3. It is difficult to collect data on export market without physically present there. 4. At the time of preparing our report, we tried to gather every detail of the process, but the major limitation is lack of adequate information. 5. As PRAN- RFL Group is a large Company; it is very difficult to understand each and every aspect of its operation within a very short period of time.

2.Overview of the Company: Major General Amjad Khan Chowdhury (Retd), is the CEO of "PRAN-RFL group", which is one of the celebrated corporate in the sphere of Bangladesh trade, commerce & industry. In this sphere of achievement, the supreme-soul of PRAN-RFL Group, Mr Amjad Khan Chowdhury’s merit, far-sightedness, strong will & sincerity were the main catalyst. Manufactured products of this company have earned extensive acceptability and acclaim both within the country and abroad. At present, PRAN-RFL group has a lot of demand of various products and has earned goodwill not only in Bangladesh but also in different countries of the world. PRAN means Program for Rural Advancement Nationally and RFL means Rangpur Foundry Limited. PRAN-RFL is the pioneer in Bangladesh to be involved in contract farming and procures raw material directly from the farmers and processes through state of the art machinery at their several factories into hygienically packed food and drinks products. It has become one of the largest food and beverage brands in Bangladesh and has been exported to 138 countries and pioneered agro business in Bangladesh. They provided farmers with guaranteed prices. PRAN Foods, a sister concern of PRAN-RFL Group which produces a number of agro products under the banner of PRAN. It established a subsidiary company in UAE in 2003. RFL is one of the largest plastic manufacturers around the world (3rd largest in Asia). RFL is also a sister concern of PRAN-RFL group. The group has a turnover in the vicinity of USD $0.5 billion annually. Primarily Rangpur Foundry Ltd (RFL) was founded with a vision to leveraging the farmer in irrigation through cast iron products like centrifugal pump as well as ensuring drinking water through Tube well. It commenced its operation in plastics business in 2003.

The factory sites are in company owned industrial parks of 300,000 square meters, which is fully equipped with state of the art injection molding machines with a conversation capacity of over 10,000 tons per month. RFL Plastics currently utilizes 3500 molds through 420 machines having own tooling facilities. Over the years, the company has not only grown in stature but also contributed significantly to the overall socio-economic development of the country. It is currently one of the most admired food & beverages brand among the millions of people of Bangladesh and other countries of the world where the products of this company are regularly being exported. 2.4 Policy and Procedure: PRAN-RFL abides by the principle that decisions on hiring, salary, benefits, advancement, retirement are based the availability of and individual to do the jobs. 

Child labor: PRAN-RFL does not employ any person belong to the age 18.



Compensation: PRAN-RFL provides each employee at least minimum wage or higher and provided each employee clear, written accounting for every pay period.



Benefits: Each of the employee will get delegated benefits which includes meal subsidies, transportation subsidies and gives bonus on religious festive etc.



Hours of work: PRAN-RFL complies with legally mandated work hours. It provides one day off in seven and requires not more than 60 hours of work per week.
